Is this to be installed only to the right and left of goal posts?
Exactly what I was thinking. The ISU band is safe sitting between the 2 posts.
I remember when Mason Crosby was kicking for Colorado he could almost kick it onto the roof if the Jacobson building. Still haven’t seen another kicker at JTS that matched his power on field goals.
There was a net when the Jacobson was first built. It was string between 2 flagpoles. It was a CF when they tried to raise it. Never worked because of operator error.
That thing was so comical to watch. I can't believe it worked so poorly and never seemed to get figured out, from what I remember.
It was in credible. It was one of the most amazing non-cyclone related things I've ever seen in that stadium.
Does the SEZ net even work? Last I remember most field goals sailed over it.
For years, the net in the SEZ has been a prop for TV. It is rare for a ball to go into the net.
it's the most Iowa State thing ever. Install a net that does not work and really has no use.
The game winner over texas a few years ago went straight into the hands on the net.
But PATs sail over, yes.
nobody said it was.
and it still does not serve its purpose. It's a net that does not catch balls- It's dumb

The question I have on the 3rd deck on the east side... do we keep the existing 2nd level? If you look at other stadiums the seating angle is much steeper. JTS lower bowl isn't really made to be built upwards. Even on the 2nd level top rows you start getting pretty far away from the field.
I also get tired of KSU fans giving us crap about our press box. I then ask them about their 2nd row seating on their West side lol
The SEZ net is about half the height it needs to be for short fg's and pat's. Works for longer fg's but everything else goes right over it.
I’m pretty sure the answer to both is “yes”. Finding them in this thread is a different matter.
