I haven't seen for myself, but an electrician for Baker told me the concessions as you walk in the new building are painted black and gold. Please tell me he was just trolling?!

That just might be a nice way to make recent U of Iowa Alums to feel more like home when they are working at our concession stands...I'm glad we take care of Lil Brother that way.

When they bowled in the south endzone, I felt sorry (a little) for the folks who would no longer be able to sit in the parking lot or the student lot and watch the videoboard. However, I hadn't thought about how the new videoboard will make it possible to watch from the Hilton side of Jack Trice Stadium.

Wow...Totally forgot about that. The tide has shifted to the Hilton lots. Jamie is going to have to put a cable from the bleachers to the scoreboard and hang some tiki privacy fencing.

I'm sure its a code thing, but seems overkill that each of the two sections adjacent to the scoreboard need their own entry/exit locations, seems they could have made do with one and added more seats.

I think the entry/exits are built around the main support beams. I suppose they could have just done more on one side of the beam, but there may be some structural reason, not just something like fire code.
