Just curious if anyone else would like to see the court named after Coach Orr, a la "Eddie Sutton Court" or "Norm Stewart Court." "Johnny Orr Court" doesn't have a great ring to it, but neither do the others. Maybe they're waiting to name it "Fred Hoiberg Court." I'd be okay with that too.

Johnny is awesome and started it all, but i think the court should be named for someone GREAT, Hoiberg could be that great one. But that's a ways off.

Let's be proactive and get a corporation to sponsor the floor.

Welcome to the Mutual of Omaha Court at Hilton Coliseum.

It's all about the Dollar Bills, yo. Principal Financial, JohnDeere, pick a farm related business and sell all naming rights

Yup, there will be no floor-naming that's not approved by Iowa State's corporate owners.

Eh, I would rather have cash for a sponsor on the floor, I mean its all about the money right? Johnny got a bar/restraunt named after him and a nice statue I think that's enough.

I loved Johnny, and he started it all, but in all honesty I think Fred will take us places we have never dreamed of being. Let's save naming the floor for someone who takes US to a Final Four

The floor won't be named after Johnny. Some people, led by Cyclonepride, actually had some communication with JP about that.
He responded by revealing that something was coming to honor Johnny, but without saying what that would be. Obviously, it was Johnny's.

I think the floor is saved for Fred, at least in my world.

I think the last time this subject surface somebody came up with idea of "Johnny's FloORR."
