We miss Woody in the redzone, no doubt but I'd like to see him sit out this week, then the week off next week and hopefully he'll be back for big 12 play.

Woody hurt, punter and defense are awesome - when will we finally go for it on 4th down? 55% success last year, 0 attempts this year.

ok, so you all want jeffs update. He is fine, so he says. He didnt play but one play in the iowa game. After the game I talked to coach Pope, and he said that in his opinion, he didnt make the cut he needed to make on the play he was in. And thought that it was due to his foot/ankle injury from last week. SOOO, instead of taking the chance on hurting it more, he choose to keep jeff out of the game. give it another week to heal and see what the practices show.
Jeff thought he was feeling fine, and was chomping at the bit all the time wanting to get in and play. He feels he could have added a LOT to the offense, especially in the red zone. No-one was more disappointed than he to not play. It was his last time playing in Kinnick, and he wanted to prove a point to iowa coaches. (recruiting storys there) We will see if he gets to play this week. He says he is fine, but he doesnt have the last call on when/if he gets to play.
Everyone please do me a favor......refrain from the childish sexual remarks about our name. I personally dont care because i have heard them all my life, and I used them too when i was younger, but there are kids that watch and read this board. If you have a kid, and they read this what you post on here, and they come and ask you to explain, what would/do you tell them? just have a little common courtesy please. You want to do that stuff in your own place, thats up to you, but this is public. Grow up .

Thanks for the update and I'd like to publicly apologize since I think I made at least one comment about the name in another thread.

I too have a name that is easy to make fun of and my wife's maiden name can be used in many of the same ways yours can. Like you I've grown used to it and joke about it myself quite a bit. Good point about kids though (including me even though I'm in my 30s my sense of humor hasn't developed past the 3rd grade).

No disrespect intended to Jeff. He will always be one of my favorite Cyclones of all time and hope to see him on the field next week in Ames.

Given that, still expect to see him back at TT, no sense to see field this week, plenty of brutal games left.

I'm pulling for him to be 100% this week. We need that extra push inside on short yardage plays that Jeff Woody brings to the team. Time for a big win to keep the team going strong into the bye week. Thanks for the update. I'll be there on Saturday to cheer him on. Hoping to see him get a TD or two this week.

Thanks much for the update! There's a lot of people concerned about him being well. You bring good news. Now I can say "Go Woody! Go Cyclones! Go SEP!

I LOVE Shontrelle and James, but unless they make some dramatic changes/improvements, we NEED Woody on the field in (at minimum) certain situations. He's a great back who does his job incredibly well. In addition, I think we all love to see the underdog succeed, which he certainly has (nothing like finishing off #2 OSU to prove the point!!!).

I can only hope that you were at the OSU game last year. The Woody chant at the end of the game gives me chills to this day. Thanks for the update, I would love for him to go this weekend but it is not that necessary and two weeks off would definitely not hurt the situation. Just my negative two cents since that's probably what it's worth.
