"Ugly scene, I don't recommend you watching it." Why? Someone at a bar around last call gets laid out. Happens all the time for those who don't know when to shut their pie holes.
"There was a discussion." Before or after drinks were thrown on the wedding party?
"My first inclination was to reach out to Jordan and his family." Why........is he in a coma? Was he just minding his own business when out of nowhere....someone jacks him?
"Fans of other teams glad that Jordan was knocked out." No......fans of other teams are not at all surprised yet incredibly amused by what they saw.
"Can't we just be humans?" What the H*** does this mean? Would it be like respecting one another? Is that what Jordan was doing in respect to the wedding party? LIke Fryowa said over on HN...."do stupid things, win stupid prizes".
"And no one deserves to be attacked by an individual he didn't see coming." Give that angle a rest. Did you see his "transformation"? You think him seeing them coming would have made any difference.

I'm not glad he got knocked out. I don't want to see anyone injured. But I'm also not going to sit here and buy this "he was blindsided" nonsense. The video obviously shows otherwise.

I'm sure the majority of us have been involved in a drunken confrontation of some type, and in that setting there's always a point in time where you have to decide to either walk away or be ready to fight. Watch the first 10 seconds of that video and you can tell it's a tense scene that could turn into a fight at any moment. You could tell that the kid who was videoing it knew it had the potential to turn into a fight by his comments.

So while I'm not taking any pleasure in JBO getting punched, I'm also out on the idea that he didn't know this was a potential outcome when he's drunk, arguing with someone and sticking a phone in their face.

Preach.

Though anyone who knows anything about Chad, its par for the course. I feel bad for him really. I generally believes he thinks what he does is journalism.

I actually have more info on the subject but I think I'll wait lol

Ive never been punched at a bar. Most people I know have never been punched at a bar. I only know 2 people who have been punched at a bar and both had it coming. There are plenty of people who deserve to get punched and I am happy when it happens. I don't know JBo personally, but if he is anything like his public persona this has been a long time coming. An optimistic person might think he may learn something from this, but we all know that's not going to happen. If he was capable of that kind of self reflection he probably wouldn't have gotten punched at a bar to begin with.

I think most people know when to shut up. I too know very few people who have been punched, but I've certainly witnessed several confrontations. As I mentioned, most people, even when drunk, have a pretty good sense of when it's time to shut up and walk away or be ready to fight, and most people chose to walk away.

A few chant ideas...

SUCK-ER-PUNCH
-Have the student section sing "mama said knock you out!" During his intro.
-Or better yet, have the PA guy play the song right before his free throws.
-Printed photo of him laying on the ground printed on a big cardboard and used as a distraction during free-throws.

Playing that LL Cool J song a few times could be pretty obvious in a good way.

Maybe a huge Chris Tucker printout.

Also print out the photo of him flexing his fifth grader muscles in the mirror.

I got punched from behind by a total stranger at a bar on Welch when I was a senior. Guy dropped me and the first time I even laid eyes on him the bouncer was dragging him out of the bar as I got back on my feet. He yelled "you f'ing f@**ot" so I'm guessing he was some sexually repressed guy who was physically attracted to me. Ironically a cute girl was nearby and the whole situation hooked us up.

Summary is yes a former Iowa State football player was involved and that is Nick Kron. His involvement is the question mark though. It hasn't been confirmed to me he threw the punch. He wasn't the one that kneed him on the ground and other footage shows the initial punch wasn't a "sucker punch".

Also Bohannon denied medical assistance on scene but called 911 later to get an ambulance because him and his friends were too drunk to drive to the hospital to get stitched up. He refused to blow as well but seemed very intoxicated. Also this is approximately the "millionth time" (actual quote I was told lol) that Bohannon has instigated a fight downtown and then pulled his phone out to film it like he was arguing with the store manager at Costco for making him wear a mask.

Nobody from my Iowa side of things has an ounce of sympathy for him and all couldn't believe Fran did that press release
