In an effort to get this back on the topic of JBo, what does everyone think about the Twitter uproar from Hawk fans who are outraged that ISU fans would mock JBo for punched?

Personally I think Jordan made a bad decision picking a fight with a group of dudes without any backup.
I think Hawk fans calling the entire ISU fanbase classless for not being outraged on behalf of Jordan is pretty naive.

I personally hope he's not permanently injured, but it's not like he was a complete innocent in this encounter either.

Maybe Hok fans need to watch the video.

All indications are this wasn't a one off for Bobo's behavior and it's literally the same way their basketball program behaves on a regular basis.

If it was an ISU player they'd be all over it and coming from a whole other angle in the realm of their 'Thug U' mantra.

Face it, JBo is an arrogant little prick, loved only by Chad L. (and maybe his mother).

Possibly something similar to this:

My RA in Wallace was doing his late night rounds and saw a guy in the commons robbing the vending machines. He saw the guy had a knife and the above quote was exactly what he asked the robber before he was stabbed. Lyle survived.

So anything new with the worst assault since the Hawkeye Marching Band Massacre?

The last few pages seem to have set a new low for derailment

I saw that the Informer was getting some inbound links from this forum again and couldn't stop myself from taking a look. As the site's editor, I can assure you that you aren't accurately describing what went into the reporting and editing of this particular story, but I'm also well aware of how some of you continue to mischaracterize the Carson King situation at the Register — in a manner that, frankly, borders on obsession sometimes. I'll spare myself the trouble of engaging with you on that as well as a couple of the other ill-informed comments on this thread, aside from saying that Aaron is doing just fine and contributed to the Informer in the recent past, as he was also freelancing for several prominent national publications with readership in the hundreds of thousands or millions, because he believes in the site's purpose.

For those of you who have an interest in engaging in good faith, I'd encourage you to read the article linked below for a sense of how Paul Parizek operates, and as an example that's actually related to the comment that led to the comment I've quoted above. It's a deeply researched and important investigative story that took us months to put together and is one of the best examples on the site of why I launched it five years ago.

Gavin, I wish you would have stopped yourself. The story in question is complete garbage. The narrative is complete garbage. I know what Aaron is, and I know what you are as well. I don't blame the police for shunning activists who are more concerned about stirring the pot and nailing police to the wall than finding out what actually happened.

With the gift of hindsight, when considering what we have learned about all the victims in that piece, I can't believe you have the audacity to show up here. And the fact that you're going after Parizek says far more about yours and Aaron's failings as human beings than him. If your publication ceased to exist tomorrow, it would be too soon. And if the world were lucky enough for that to happen, it would be a better and happier place.

"Ugly scene, I don't recommend you watching it."
"There was a discussion."
"My first inclination was to reach out to Jordan and his family."
"Fans of other teams glad that Jordan was knocked out."
"Can't we just be humans?"
"And no one deserves to be attacked by an individual he didn't see coming."

-Chad

I think it's nothing more than posturing...just like when people ***** about the police to advance a political agenda. Oh WAIT! Sorry for that last part! LOL

Getting back on the subject, what's amazing about all of this is that not a single one of my Hawkeye friends are one, surprised, or two, sympathetic. They are all either shrugging their shoulders or laughing. I have a co-worker who bleeds black and gold but for years has said that JBo has the most punchable face in college basketball. He laughed when I told him it finally happened. There are a few though that hope he's not seriously hurt.

but but but JBo missed a free throw on purpose so that Indianola legend Chris Street could still share the free throw record.
