Your opinion/concern was that you expected an instant improvement in the OL after a few months with our new coaches. And now you're freaking out because we had an injury and there aren't 20 guys to replace him.

Sorry, but that's not how college football works. Hell, that's not how LIFE works.

If I posted an opinion like that on here I would expect people to react to it the same way.

So - Tom Manning is now on the spot. OL COY has to show why he got the award. Losing the experienced starter and having freshmen to rely on? Staff loaded up on DB's and safeties - little depth at OL so the feeling must have been they were good right? I sure hope so - my season tix look a little less shiny today - all jacked with the coach and players raised relief, had my seatbacks ordered - now this. This other shoe dropping crap has to end - the absolute worst area to lose someone on this team. I drank that Kool-Aid like it was the elixir of life - just another snake oil charlatan trick by JP. Realize season has not started but getting bad vibes now from coach about players attitude and now injury. Walk ons beating out scoli players - man oh man. I chastised others in another thread about wearing cardinal and gold glasses - I am now tasting crow and it sucks!.

Kind of...I like to think of forums as a place to just be concerned about everything. It's not so much about voicing concerns here and there; it's more about the #concernedlifestyle

Wow, some people freak at a little adversity. I am really bummed for Campos. These kids put in so much work and then to get hurt during practice has to be a huge disappointment.

That said, the staff has plenty of time to adjust before the first game. Sure individual talent is important, but for the OL, having a cohesive position group is more important. I trust that we have kids on the roster that will step up and the coaching staff will scheme accordingly. Having an offense that utilizes the TE position in different ways will help.

My expectations haven't changed because of the Campos injury. I fully expect ISU to win 6 games and make a bowl. Seems kind of silly to jump ship before we play our first games.

I think the worst kind of fans are the ones that over react to everything. For example: Fan has unrealistic expectations of team and coaches in first year and when one guy gets injured starts freaking out.

Not sure why everyone thinks a medical RS is a foregone conclusion. As has been pointed out, to gain a 6th year of eligibility a player typically needs to lose 2 years of playing time due to injuries.

Naz only missed one year of PT due to injury.
