Jacob Park to transfer

I doubt Park ends up at a D2 school but a bad G5 like Rice or Georgia State seems about where i think he’ll end up. He’s too talented for someone not to take a shot on him but don’t think he’ll be at a P5 school next fall.

Can he go to Rice or Georgia State? If he loses a year he is done at this point right? Did I miss that he will be a grad transfer? If that's the case, Georgia State could be likely...I don't know their QB situation but they are close to home and a bowl team this year.

He’ll be a grad transfer.

I'll be curious to see how much interest he gets.

I still don’t get it. Why would someone quit as a p5 starter to start over at a lower level program? If it’s to avoid competition or stress, then how could the NFL be your goal?

It's because the fans turned on him here.

He needs to exhaust whatever means possible to salvage his ego. No, I have no knowledge of situation beyond hearsay its just my opinion. He is too young and proud to let go of his life style for the betterment of his life and family. I have no idea what broke the camel's back but something probably happened between him and Campbell, considering he spoke of isolation from him and it has been proven to be a falsehood.

You're much more optimistic than I am. Teams are going to see a good talent that had immaturity issues at Georgia and left. Got a second chance at another P5 school and showed he still hasn't matured. We don't know the whole story of went on here, but I don't foresee much interest, if any at all, from P5 schools.

We were fortunate to have a quality back-up in Kempt, but a couple of years ago the whole season would have been toast if Park walked and left one of those QB's to salvage the season. How many P5 coaches will want to roll the dice with a guy who may decide to throw in the towel after a bad game early in the season?

Hard for scouts to see you if you're on the bench. No guarantees you'll become the starter unless you're really that much better than the competition at the new school. Football talent is the biggest, but not the only, criteria for choosing a starter.

I, as a huge football fan, didn't know these schools had football teams.
I know that coaches following him doesn't mean he'll end up at one of those schools but holy cow, I would have thought he'd have better options than that.

Murray State is one of the worst non-HBCU FCS programs in the country. He'd play there but wouldn't get many Ws, not that that matters to him apparently...

for a four-star QB with no ties to the program/state (in the future excluded, because we're awesome) to come to iowa state means we're taking a chance on you due to a previous flaw in the player that made him leave a bigger program. when you leave iowa state it shows that you've basically failed both your first time out and your rehab opportunity. he's a good QB but the bigger programs probably don't want to invest a lot of time and energy into a guy with proven issues and can only be there for one year.

Don't rule out East Mississippi CC. Buddy may not have twitter.

I didn't think you could block grad transfers or block people from transferring to schools down a level?
