Jacob Park to transfer

I'm sure this in here somewhere, JP decides to transfer when KK tries to get a 6th year. Sounds like he doesn't want to win a job?

If I were a betting man, I'd say he ends up at Florida Atlantic. I think I remember hearing Lane Kiffin describe them in the preseason as the last chance U for D1 football.

Interestingly, Akron is playing their bowl game in Boca Raton against FAU!

Does Iowa State have a J-term in which Park could finish his last class in a few weeks? And thus grad transfer for the Spring semester somewhere else?

He didn’t impress me as being the sharpest knife in the drawer. So moving , adapting, learning a new system might not happen real easy for him. It doesn’t really make sense that he is doing this unless it is out of spite. Hopefully his parents can help raise his daughter at his new location.

Who’s going to want a QB who’s most glaring trait is that he can’t handle stress or high pressure situations?

One with no talent? Nobody. But he can make every throw. Plenty of teams will at the very least do their homework. I'll be shocked if he isn't playing somewhere next fall. FWIW, I don't think it'll be a really high profile place. If I had to guess I'd say a G5 program that runs a pass happy offense.

I don't get why people act like Park is a stud, he beat KU, UNI, Akron and Texas Tech (thanks to Lanning's huge day on the ground). Zero wins against a team with a winning record. The guy never took a snap in a win over a team with a winning record. He has talent but upstairs, he's not a p5 player, on or off the field. I wish him luck but he was always a way better QB on CF than in reality. His hype was more about how awful we had been at QB than how great he was. What could have been....

Coaches always think they can fix a talented but troubled player. Always. He has superior talent, and a coach is going to look past all the other stuff and give him one more shot. College and pro sports are littered with guys on their third and fourth chances.

Because they realize we didn’t have a bad record under Park because of Park. Did you think CMC was a poor coach last year?
