Jack Trice throwback uniforms again?

Who cares about the uniform or the helmet. I want a team that can win games. I don't care how flashy we look or cool the uniforms or helmets are. I will watch regardless of what they have on. I do think we need to get a look and stay with it. We don't needs any of this flip flopping over the past 20 years. Its like the Iowa Hawkeyes, they are recognizable because they stay with the same thing. As much as I hate them they have the right idea.

The right idea being rip off the Pittsburgh Steelers?

The all gold unis? We worm once and they're ugly af.

Not truly an all-gold, since the helmets were the standard cardinal. But I imagine if it were truly gold-gold-gold, you (and other fans) would hate just as much, or even more so.

That points to a couple of things (1) Those who want a big set of alternates, but also want a complete redesign; (2) those who want alternates within the present scheme, but have passionate preferences about which combination is used. And that'd be the situation no matter how many possibilities a team has: Some fans will love a specific look, despise another one.

Oregon was the pioneer in this trend, and as more options were added, several of the uniform sets look sharp, others are horrendous. (And I bet my opinion of which is which would vary from another person's perspective).

Well we did get some pretty good jucos for this year, and it's shaping up to likely be a bowl eligible season.

Or you could get the uniforms to help attract some better recruits to get those wins to get better recruits.

When I go into a restaurant I order a chicken and an egg, just to see what comes first. :)

This is what I'm talking about for a home uni look. I think this should definitely be in the rotation for home games and would be great to open up with against UNI. Not sure why they haven't gone with this look before.

Red on red nearly always looks bad.

They should have added some white to the uniforms this season when they changed them. White stripe on shoulders between the other two strips..same with the pants. Then outline the numbers on the jerseys in white. That would have allowed you to wear all combinations. Throw in a white helmet and you have many alternate uniforms to choose from.

You are using a sample size of one to make that conclusion. Stop and think about that for a second.

Incorrect o Cyphyllis:

Alternate Uni Games: Iowa under Chizik, 2010 vs. Mizzou, Jack Trice Throwbacks vs. Iowa 2012, Toledo all Gold last year. I have yet to hear an ISU recruit say they came here because we have alternate jerseys.

Every team has Alt jerseys. Players like that type of stuff more than you think. Our players are always excited when it's changed up.

Proven? Where has this been proven? Lol

My goodness... and that's why you guys have zero clue.

It's really comical.

D UP...I guess you're right...you're the only one on here that has any clue as to what football is or what anyone including players and recruits would want. We will all go out and get a clue so that we can compete when it comes to conversing with someone like yourself

"The student-athletes love it -- they absolutely love it," Michigan athletic director Dave Brandon said earlier this spring at Big Ten athletic director meetings. "The coaches love it, because the student-athletes love it. The recruits may love it even more than the student-athletes. I get this question a lot from recruits."
