Not debating that there are some prime experiences in the SEC, but we aren’t no slouches either.
Can Finebaum even point to Iowa on a map?
i get more people in a stadium seems more challenging for road teams, on the surface.
one thing he's not factoring in is that Big 12 stadiums are wildly different settings from one to the next.
Ames is way north and in middle of nowhere, and can be extremely windy or cold or snowing later in season.
SEC stadiums all seem fairly similar, it's going to be hot and lots of people, no different than their own stadium.
if wants to talk about difference of SEC vs Big 12, stick to the actual football. taking shots at cities or fanbases is just shallow crap.

Yup, JTS will always be a great environment and he’ll still have enormous ears tomorrow.
Purdy rarely lost at home. Last year was obviously an epic cluster.

Yeah, no **** it’s going to be harder to play a prime time, top 25 showdown at Baton Rouge, Auburn, Gainesville, Knoxville. Those stadiums can/will pack 100K+ rabid fans. ISU can’t compare to that. No one can (not even a most B10 schools).
I will say we have a tougher gameday atmosphere than Mizzou, Vanderbilt, and Kentucky. Probably a little below South Carolina.

Eh...we've heard from coaches for a long time it's a tough environment. Even CMC knew that a decade ago when he was at Toledo.
Scott Van Pelt used to say on Sportscenter years ago you just don't walk into Jack Trice Stadium (in reference to the opponent) when he'd play the highlights.

If Iowa is a tier 2 tailgating scene, the rest of the country's teams atmosphere must be absolute garbage.
Meh, he's a talking head. His job is to stir the pot and promote the SEC. As said above, he mentioned ISU, as degrading of a way he did it, it still says something about ISU.

Those are all just towns too. Only people from other small metros think of Baton Rouge as a big town.
The stadium/fans are all that matter. It’s not intimidating to play @UCLA because of how huge the city is. It’s an easy road game because no fans in a big stadium. He’s right sec has fans, but big 12 fills up stadiums too which is why they’re in better shape than Pac and ACC.
