maybe they are but you dont have to travel thousands of miles to play auburn with a team relying heavily on the three pointer and freshman playing their first ever road game..... i can come up with excuses too!

How true. Why worry about the head to heads? Maybe the hawks and kitties got it right after all.
I'd like to see us push the ball up the court faster, but that might cause more problems than points. 
Tonight's gameplan was obviously designed around Brackins. Isolate him in the post and let him go to town against a slower defender. If they shack down on him find the open guard for the 3-ball.
It worked against UNI. Not sure I like a 4-guard lineup against Big 12 competition, but we'll see what McD comes up with. He is usually well-prepared.

No kidding. It took OT. I dont get why people can't just enjoy a win for what it is. A one game win. Oh well. It will never be that way.

A great percentage of these were either heavily contested or from NBA range, aka ill advised shots. UNI did not outplay the Cyclones tonight, especially being on their home court.
Have a good time rooting for the Hawks during the bowl game and the rest of the bball season. IC North up there, I swear.
Um.....or how about, I just don't think we have any room to be cocky towards any other team right now.
A win is a win and we should take it any way we can get it. Can't get picky over the way we played especially on the road against a rival. Just take the W and move on to Oregon State.
This win could do wonders for the teams confidence this year though.

I thought a few things were good signs for this team that we can definately build on.
1. Winning on the road
2. Not letting the overtime forcing shot get us down
3. Winning without the 3 pointer, and only shooting the limited number in the 2nd half when we saw they just weren't falling.
