ISU vs. Kansas State Game Thread

JAHFG,

I'm with you on that one. Jiri looks really weak and his feet are nailed to the floor. There isn't a whole lot we can do when KSU's other guys are hitting 3's and Beasley is in the middle.

you aren't going to see it come back to haunt them right now, obviously. This is what they planned. They were going to bring in two big-time recruits and hope to make a serious splash on the national scene. After that, who knows what will happen? We will see the effects of the Huggins hire in a couple years, whether that's a good or bad effect is still up in the air. I think there is a good chance it will come back to bite them unless Martin can continue to attract top notch talent.

I think the first half was my fault. I got to the beer a little late. We'll do better in the second half.

Ok, I really think we have the worst hands/ball control of any team in the Big 12. Really, only Wesley has consistent control of the ball. Hubalek, Clark, Thompson...gosh! There's no wonder that they can rarely put the jams back in on rebounds, pull down boards in general, or handle the ball...their hands are too slow! What K-State is showing is that you have to have strength AND quickness. While we're trying to work on strength, quickness can't really be taught...and we definitely don't have it.

Now, I know Clark is a great athlete in terms of jumping, and he's made a lot of SportsCenter type plays...but think of how many times he's missed! It's certainly been a lot more than he makes...now compare that to a player like Beasley for K-State. We're just not even in the same league.

Oh, and another thing we need to work on...a soft touch on our shots. Notice how all the K-State guys seem to have that soft touch, and compare it to a player like Jiri or Rahshon's touch.

Just pointing out obvious deficiencies. Hopefully we come out after halftime and make it into a game.

I wonder if the "meltdown" on the board will effect my computer.....?

It could. Just pray for a database error around 7.

I think we're all frustrated with how that first half went and our big loss to KU...but ya gotta know when the other team is just blatantly better than you are. Being on the road doesn't help our inexperienced team either.

I'm still very encouraged by what I saw from our 2 conference home games and look forward to facing teams more on par with our talent. The next stretch of games will give us that.

What's up with all this negativity? We aren't doing that bad. We get some shots to drop inside, and we're back in it.

KSU is keeping us off the line, which is what allowed us to win some games. So they are doing exactly what they need to.

I think we need more than a few shots to drop inside to get back in this thing

I think there needs to be an investigation as to why we always play like crap at k-state. I'm certain they've drugged us or brainwashed us or something.
