ISU legacy commits to KU

They have way more NIL money, I’m not sure they have less than us.

Yeah the stadium blows, but they got good coaching and can pay.
This is all true, but I'm genuinely not sure it made an appreciable difference in Malachi's recruitment relative to us. Maybe it steered him towards KU instead of KSU, though.

Yeah it definitely looks better when you show a recruit a nice stadium with all the amenities. Its more exciting for the fans, provides a better atmosphere, luxury and club seating, etc. The only thing they were ever lacking down there was facilities. Lawrence is a great college town. You aren't far from KC. They have the JUCO system right there in that state. It wouldn't be a bad job at all. You dont think this would be better to show recruits than their current stadium?

Is that razor wire at the top of the stadium to keep people from jumping from the top row?

Or are they going to use it as a Top Golf franchise during the week?

They have everything we do now except a nice stadium and its on its way. So yes they have been doing better than us recently and have less to work with right now. You are crazy if you don't think that stadium will help their program more than the current Memorial Stadium.

So they aren’t doing more with less. They also have a larger AD budget than us and more resources, based on this big stadium project. You’re full of **** and a troll.

Time to shut it all down folks. Curvey going to KU is a clear sign ISU won't be able to compete any more. I mean, they're getting a new stadium and everything! May as well save everyone a bunch of time and drop to division III now.

KU's problem is they're always going to have basketball as the #1 priority, miles ahead of football. Yeah football has moved up a few notches there but it's always going to be second fiddle. It was a massive deal to them when they sold out their 45k seat stadium this year, with a hot coach, and big teams in town. Their fan support is still far behind ours

Our fan support has done nothing for us in terms of NIL. It's overrated if you can't parlay it into anything. BFD our fans show up win or lose. It's good for pride,.but I'm not really sure what else.

What does it say about the product on the field that they have to put a 60 foot high wire cage around the stadium to keep people from climbing out?

EDIT: I guess I should have kept reading before posting my twisted take (that is obviously shared by others).

If I were KU, I would invest heavy in football facilities, coaches, NIL, etc. in order to move ahead of teams like us so they don't get left behind when the big TV money becomes limited to a top tier.

How bad is it that program keeps beating us? I just think its funny that some ISU fans think that because KU has historically not been great(although better than ISU) and is a basketball school that it's impossible they could never have a decent program.

They’ve beaten us twice. Both games were within 7 points I think. You’re acting like it’s approaching Kansas State levels.

Kansas has improved greatly. Good for them.

Yeah, agree, it’s like saying we are on the same level of football as Texas because we won 3 of 4 or whatever.

I'm saying the same thing you are basically. I don't think they are a joke anymore like some on this board still do. I think they'll continue to improve.

They've already built the facilities and are starting on a new stadium. Leipold has the 3rd highest salary in the Big 12 and I've heard he's about to get a raise. Not sure about the NIL but rumors are it's pretty good. I know they had to pay quite a bit to keep several players on the roster for next year and they seem to pick up transfers that they need to fill the gaps.

The next 5 years will be interesting because 2 conferences have such a financial advantage just because of the media.
