My guess, when this debacle has reached a conclusion, Dekkers will receive a one year suspension.Agree. When we are 2-4 Dekkers is going to look pretty tempting. If he can somehow get a 6 game suspension he may be available. I think we all saw that Rocco and JJ have potential but won’t beat the Big 12 big dogs this year.
Why not?
So, it sounds like they weren't tipped off by the gambling app? Who initiated the investigation and why?
Geocomply is who Draftkings and Fanduel use for location services, verifying identities, location fraud, etc. I assume other sports books use them as well. The origin of the investigation lies in data collected from GeoComply, a company based in Vancouver, British Columbia, that offers geolocation services for gambling operators and state regulators. GeoComply’s technology scrutinizes nearly every online sports bet in America to ensure that the wager is happening in a state where it is legal.
Something seems a little off here. Specifically, obtaining the warrants in Pottawattamie County rather than Story or Johnson, and Dekkers’ signed plea deals that has nothing to do with the crime he was charged for or pled to.So, it sounds like they weren't tipped off by the gambling app? Yes, but it wasn't an automated trigger. Someone *asked* for the data.Geocomply is who Draftkings and Fanduel use for location services, verifying identities, location fraud, etc. I assume other sports books use them as well.
Also DCI was using that data and then asked for a subpoena later in the process seems.... significantYes, but it wasn't an automated trigger. Someone *asked* for the data.
I see what you're saying. Why does that matter though?Yes, but it wasn't an automated trigger. Someone *asked* for the data.
The question everyone wants to know: why only in Iowa?I see what you're saying. Why does that matter though?
