I don't remember Ty and Jeff missing much, unless they were more than 52 yards or so. then again, they were our only offense back in those days so we had to have good kickers!

if we can get some good recruits i think the future is looking very good right now. as players, they have to be loving it after the last couple disappointing seasons.

ISU before McCarney generally had very good kickers...Walden even brought in Jamie Kohl for Mac's first 4 years which baffles me why he thought it would be a waste to not have another scholarship kicker to follow him.

Prior to him, we had Ty Stewart and Jeff Shudak who were good...

What I remember of Ty is anything over 50 he was money but chip shots and xp's were crap shoots. That may not be accurate...just my recollection.

It's gonna be hard to route for Iowa but it will be in our best interest for them to stay in the top-10 for bowl considerations. IF we can get to 6 wins we'll want both Iowa and KU to continue to look good.
