ISR Bowl talk

Most of us will be in SA I’m guessing.

How was MSUs Dline against Kstates Oline. Their Oline was the best we faced, IMO.
MSU was impressive...they’ve got 2 first round dudes...Sweat at DE and I forget the guys name at Tackle. Kind of worried about the running game against them but we’ll see

It's really going to depend on both defenses. If we can slow down their pass attack, I'm not seeing a lot of indications stating that they have a strong run game to counter that. We're probably going to do the opposite: depend on the run to open up the pass, which is going to probably require our OL to show up that day.

The two things that do make me feel a little better about it are Leach's bowl record in general, and a little bit of the underwhelmed WSU fans and probably team who thought they got screwed/should be NY6. If I had to choose between a team excited to be in the game and a team disappointed to be in it, I'd lean towards the excited one.

The ISU rush defense has not been very good, and that has caused some adjustments by the LBers and safety to support the rush defense, which in turn has hurt the pass defense. The pass defense has also suffered quite a bit from injuries. Hopefully they will get Young back and Peavy will get some rest and recovery. Need the defensive line to get it's swagger back. EYIOMA UWAZURIKE at full speed would help that a lot. Don't look for ISU to send a lot of guys, but they will need to pick and choose some blitzes with that 3 man front.

I think that having healthy players will help. Maybe equally important to me is having perfect playing conditions to help the defense out. The last half of the season we really only had one game where they weren't playing on a wet/frozen/slick field and that was the Texas game. The defense played pretty well in that game consider how much the offense struggled.

Coach Campbell preaches that they all have to be in the right place for this defense to work. That is hard to do when you are slipping and sliding on the field.

This is a game where not having a good RB will hurt big time

What are the general feelings towards Montgomery, Lima and Butler going pro?

Lima won't go pro I wouldn't think. I would guess one of the two between Montgomery and Butler will go. Butler was planning on returning for his senior year going into this season I do know that but I'm pretty confident that has changed
