That North Carolina team was incredibly good. All I know though? Jared Homan was an absolute beast in the game. 19 and 20. Too bad he was the only one to show up.

Ok...back to Stokes. Don't really care who he reminds people of. I just want him in cardinal and gold. Young man is a monster.
Homan definately wasn't hiding under a car in that game. Lol.

Just listened to the last Cyclone Scoop Podcast, and Halsted gave some details on Stokes recruitment.
ISU and Tennessee are thought to be the favorites. Alex spoke to some people close to Tennessee and they actually view ISU as slight favorite, Prohm connections to his high school are really helping. TCU has really made up ground and Dixon and the horned Frogs needs in the front court shouldn't be underestimated (obviously he visited there this weekend). UNC is lurking but they are after a number of posts thus, hard to get any type of read on how they are prioritizing Isaiah. Stokes had mentioned in the past that was thinking at a Dec/Jan decision but, with his visit completed prior to the early signing period he very well could commit much sooner.

Pretty good summary as I listened to the same podcast. Few things I took away that was slightly different or at least, maybe just further clarification. Alex did speak to a couple contacts at Tennessee who led him to believe that we are the slight favorites with maybe TCU in second. Therefore, he considers ISU and TCU to possibly be the favorites now, rather than Tennessee. Overall, I just got the sense that the Tennessee guys are a bit pessimistic right now about their chances. However, they have just always been mostly known to be the slight favorites in his running. As for the making an earlier than expected decision, Alex never said anything about info leading him to believe that might happen. It seemed much more that he was just guessing that he might commit sooner than Dec/Jan simply because he has his visits all finishing fairly sooner than that and he wouldn't be surprised if many of the coaches start to press on him to make a decision. Anyway, nothing too different than the OP, but just a few clarifications that I took away. Thanks for posting LLCoolJansma.

What do you recruiting gurus project a Stokes signing would mean for ISUs final ranking nationally?

Thanks for sharing, its good to see that we are still sitting well with him. Hopefully Prohm starts his weekly trips to visit Stokes here soon.

I'm guessing if we land Stokes, our final ranking will be 12-15. It would bump us to 9th right now, but a few schools will likely pass us in the rankings as they sign more guys.
That's what I figured. There are enough big fish likely to go to schools behind us and we'd need Stokes to maintain a 10-15 ranking. No matter what this is a really nice class.

I think with Stokes we'd end up 13-16th, judging off of what was required to be in that range the past 3 years.

Wait. If Stokes can troll Hok Fan 1/2 as good as Niang......
