There were probably not many, if any, high schools that had breakaway rims in 1983.

Yeah, there were no breakaway rims at that time. And Bennett was loaded with big guys that dunked all of the time so I always figured the backboard was already stressed/weakened and all it took was unusual pressure (from bottom not top) to trigger it.
Now, back to the topic on hand. Let's land Stokes and see if he can bring his dunks to Hilton.

He's 17 so I believe he has to attend at least 2 years before entering the draft.

It appears they updated their composites within the last day. I don't know why his would have changed though
