Isaiah Stokes visiting 9/24

I have no idea how meaningful it is, but since yesterday Stokes crystal ball prediction on 247 has gone from all UT prediction and 0 ISU to today 8 for UT and 5 for ISU, all the UT picks are a year to two old so it looks like good news to me!

The UT picks were from 2014/15 when it was assumed he would play football. All the recent activity is for ISU. Apparently on 247 the crystal ball picks are combined for football and basketball, probably since it's so rare for a player to be a top recruit in both.

Wigginton looks to be an Oregon lock. Hopefully he still comes to ISU before deciding.

I think lock is too strong here. If he had only scheduled a Oregon visit, then I would say "lock", but since he's clearly singled out Oregon and ISU with his two visits, it tells me there's a chance.

Lean or maybe strong lean are probably better descriptions, IMO.

Love how this staff is really hitting the trail hard. Stokes would be a huge get both literally and figuratively. Hopefully Wigginton doesn't commit after his Oregon visit. Having both of those big time recruits at the same time would help.

He can tell the two they are who he wants to finish out this already top 20 class as far as high school guys go. Wigginton especially has a pretty easy road to early minutes but all 5 spots will be wide open next year.

I think this is exactly it. Now that he has gotten his commitments of our first 3 it has allowed our staff to single in on these 2 guys. We can throw the kitchen sink at them, recruiting wise, preach how they will be guys who can play right away and play meaningful minutes. I think Darius is more in a position to get minutes here and there, but is more of a development guy for Prohm and I think Prohm has told him as much, or along the lines of "if you come here I can make you NBA before you leave campus", if that is true is another story. I think we have a really good chance with Stokes but I think Wigginton is the guy Prohm reeally, realy wants, so they are going to do all they can to get him to campus.

Agree with this assessment. I had hoped ISU would get his first visit to give the first pitch, On the plus side if he doesn't commit by this time next week I will really like Prohm's position. I don't believe he has any other visits set looks to be a two team race.

Stokes looking good if crystal ball predictions mean much, so your looking at another 4 star, got to know Wigginton is aware of all this, hopefully he can hold out cause you know Oregon will be pressing hard.. that would be an awesome class with Lewis, Feazell, McNeill, Stokes and Wigginton, not saying it will happen, but Stokes looks good and Wigginton has to still be considered a possible..

more predictions for Stokes to ISU, I admit to being no great evaluator of basketball talent, but the fact he has an offer from UNC would seem to indicate he is a 'pretty good' prospect :)

Watching the video of Stokes would you say he is more or less athletic than Cam Ridley from Texas coming out of high school?

To me it looks kind of the same and makes me question how he will work in a run and gun offense. Just a thought...

I don't know much about how athletic his brother Jarnell was, but Isaiah is 30 pounds heavier than him coming out of high school. He looks leaner than Ridley but there aren't a lot of good pictures.

Crystal Ball is meaningless. Surprised how much it's been brought up around here lately.

I'd say very similar, if not slightly more agile than Cam Ridley

It's not meaningless when you look at it in the context that ALL recent activity is pointing towards ISU. The Tennessee picks for Stokes were football predictions from 2014/2015.

He has one visit set up..... ISU

At one point he attended the same HS as Cam Payne.

All of the predictions come from people with 70%+ historical accuracy on crystal balls.

There is a lot of smoke on this one if you dig into it.

**Edit

Oops it looks like you were talking Wigginton. Still Oregon is probably the leader there regardless.
