Tennessee and TCU

I agree that UNC doesn't appear to be a big factor. They have accepted commits from other big guys recently, so they could cool on Stokes. Or even if UNC still wants Stokes, he could cool on them. But that UNC aura could still sway kids even if it's probably not their best opportunity to play.

I think all the other schools (ISU, Tenn, TCU, FL) have different appeals and make it tough to predict a landing spot at this point.....
ISU has playing time to offer. Prohm/Payne's connection to Stokes' high school. Unfortunately we aren't close to home.

Tenn is obviously where his older brother played. Barnes can pull in talent. Close to home.

TCU has a proven coach in Dixon who is no doubt pushing early PT and new facilities.

FL has a young energetic coach with plenty to sell down there as well. Recent titles, national brand, etc.

Add Stokes and this is probably the best incoming class in ISU history, regardless of how the final two spots are filled.

I believe the 1997-1998 Tim Floyd class was ranked number 2 in the nation before the shooting guard from Louisiana was academically ineligible. This class had Fizer, Corner, Love, Ridden, Stensrud, and Rancik. Somebody please correct me if I am wrong (like I had to ask)

Gerrod Henderson. Kid was a baller.

I'm pretty smart. But for real he's pretty much been considered UK all the way for a while now. I guess he could end up at UNC but don't see it happening

Why because crystal ballzzz? Kentucky thinks they are leading for every kid they are recruiting so you have to take that stuff with a grain of salt.

I don't think UNC is a big player for Stokes honestly

I'd say it's a very similar situation to LW and Oregon where it's so obviously backlogged at their respective position that it just doesn't make such sense. Almost like UNC is using him as a backup option in case of decommit or grades.

We are going after two bigs Teddy and Stokes if my memory serves me correct. Does everything think we would take the first to commit out of those two and take away the offer for the other one?

Teddy's listed as a SG actually, although he will probably be more of a SF, IMO.

Also, he committed to WVU last weekend. We had basically decided to pass on him, so that doesn't change much for us.

Like Malone said......his name was Gerrod Henderson. He was a stud. So was the other huge casualty of that class......C.J. Bruton. That was one heck of a class he tried to assemble.

Okay, fair, but did we really steal him from them? I know they recruited him, but I thought they cooled on him. If not, I apologize, I was wrong. haha

I have no clue, just knew he had an offer from them. I don't follow football recruiting near as closely as basketball

Same. I was more just saying my post to point out how awesome it is that, although stokes was a highly touted 4-star in football getting offers from some of the biggest name in college football, he chose to go the basketball route and is still picking up high-major offers easily. Freak. of. Nature.
