Was it a safety issue? It has detracted from the atmosphere in my opinion.

I'm sure it's been discussed, but I missed it. Why did they move the bleachers back from each end in Hilton?
Was it a safety issue? It has detracted from the atmosphere in my opinion.

I was told by someone who would know, but I have a terrible memory. They told me the bleachers had to be replaced because of their age/safety. The new design were more upright, and so the same number of rows doesn't extend out as much. You can't leave a gap at the top, so the gap is in front. This creates more space from the floor.

Take this as a terrible source, but this wasn't exactly a purposeful result from what I remember.
