Is ISU looking at McCabe at all?

Seems like he's getting more and more national attention and the AIA is in Milwaukee, which is where it sounds like McD is at. Is there any interest there?

he's not better than most of the guys we can get,

ASU, Minnesota, Utah, and Virginia all disagreed with you over the weekend as they all offered McCabe. Bo Ryan said he wanted to but they have to get a PG. This could be Lick's biggest recruit at Iowa.

He would be a solid get. He would be a Brunner type kid. Not in the way he plays but what he could do for a team. Just my opinion

With that said, how do you feel your chances are for getting him? Rumors are that he is waiting for Notre Dame

I'm just thinking we will need a replacement for Gilstrap and we could probably do a heck of a lot worse than McCabe. Who knows about Ejim and Barnes.

We haven't offered yet (that I know of), and even if we wanted to, would it make much of a dent in his interest anyway this late into the game?

How does his game compare? I am picturing Cory Johnson for some reason.

And back to what the poster before you said. He's not better then the guys we can get. Don't you read the basketball post at all? Read cyismydog Elite camp review.
So ASU, Minnesota, Utah, Virginia think he is better then what we can get?

Read and think before you reply Hawk fan. Better yet go away.

I would take McCabe but not over Barnes and Ejim.
I would take Clyburn, Green, Barnes, Ejim, Arnold, etc. etc. over Mccabe..if he wasn't on a hot streak from downtown, he wouldn't have any of these offers. ISU looked at him, but they didn't want him, and I know this for a fact.

Speaking of in-state MBB, it looks like Creekmur decommitted in effort to garner better offers.
I would take:
1. Barnes
2. Ejim
Some other prospects- some at different positions

X. Doug McD
Y. McCabe

If this was 2006, and/or Doug was not a similar player, maybe McD would be after him.

When did you talk to Bo. Also someone tell Bo Ryan he is not supposed to metion recruits by name. Apparently Bo Ryan is telling Hawk fans who he wants.

McCabe is making a mistake even playing bball imo. With his height, arm-strength and mobility I think he'd be a good D1 QB. I've heard that he's wants an ND offer but if he doesn't get one don't be surprised if he ends up at Iowa. Something about IC attracts Crusaders.

I grew up close to Platteville, and have had some friends many many years ago play under Bo at UW-P, and have gotten to know him very well. I talked to him over the weekend and asked about Zach. Basically, Bo said that since Zach has grown over the last year, it really adds a lot to his value. Last year at this time, no way was he offering. Now he wishes he had an open scholly to hand out, but they need a PG. I concluded that he is very high on Zach, but doesn't think he's one of those 'you can't turn down' type guys.

Bo isn't as high on some of our commits and recruits as many on here are. Also, when asked in the past about the rating services (rivals, scout) he kinda laughed and said most of them don't know their heads from their arses. He implied they basically get about the top 10-20 right, and after that it's tough to distinguish between #25 and #125. At that point, it is mostly how a kid fits into a certain system.

I didn't talk to Bo. He talked to McCabe who talked to one of the guys who run HawkeyeReport. I'm pretty sure he can refer to a recruit by name when he's talking to said recruit.

Wow, a whole 7 posts and you can start telling people to leave? Wow, looks like I should have been a mod a couple hundred times over by now.

I'm not sure who he compares to, in fact, I've only seen him play once. But apparently he's really starting to turn heads. 4 news offer over the weekend and ISU's own Jake Sullivan says he's a top 50-100 player. He's not a superstar by any means but it looks like he'll be a solid player where ever he ends up.
