Incorrect. It's a dead ball once it's thrown. Can't intercept an illegal pass. Play over. 5 yard penalty. Loss of down?Correct, and now that I look at it, of course it was a pass. An illegal pass is still a pass, it's either incomplete or caught/intercepted. The only way TN could have taken possession would be if they caught it out of the air and declined the penalty.
