Iowa/MSU

ISU fans moved on immediately with the season after they beat Iowa

Iowa fans--several who can't find IC on a map, continue their obsession, trying to convince themselves that Iowa is better and ISU didn't actually beat Iowa in December

Their butthurt has been ongoing for 4 weeks+

Jok.isn't an elite shooter and is a career 35% shooter. We both agree. End of story.

P.S. Matt Thomas is better than him

They are different types of players. Jok is a better offensive player, and Thomas is better defensively. They both are career 35% shooters, and both career 38% from the field. They are both above average D1 players.

I do have to say that Thomas just feels more disappointing as he was a top 50 kid coming out of HS. I expected a Niang, White, or Morris type player for being as highly rated as he was. That said, I like what he brings to the team, but this is the first year I have really felt that he has really contributed much to the team.

So they both have the same career shooting stats, Thomas is shooting better this year and he's the better defender/rebounder. Hmmmn I wonder which one is better.

Depends on what you need. Thomas is great for ISU because they have many other scoring options. Jok is good for Iowa, because he is the only other guy who really scores for them outside Uthoff.

Thomas is the 5th scoring option on the team, you have to shut down Niang, Morris, McKay and Nadar, so Thomas gets a lot of wide open looks. Iowa has Uthoff and Jok, so he is guarded much tougher. I mean if you play Iowa, as most have said on here if you shut down Uthoff and Jok, you will beat Iowa. You don't even have to defend Woody, Gesell or Clemons really, so Jok always has the best perimeter defender on him.

I think both are good, and both do what their teams needs them to do. Iowa is good defensively and they need a scorer, so Jok fits good there. ISU is great offensively and need a defender, so Thomas fits great here. So if team needed a volume scorer they would go with Jok, if they needed a defender they would go with Thomas. I don't think the case could be made that every team would pick either Jok or Thomas if they had the choice.

Man, you guys are nuts. Is it ok for me to think that Cousins is a good player for OU? Can I say that I think Woodard and Cousins are just as good as Thomas? Can I think that OU has a team that is final 4 good?

Please oh please tell me what opinions I can have to get off your "Troll" list.

I through troll bait out all the time, truthfully, that is what I thought you were doing to Iowa fans with the first paragraph.

MSU struggling with a TERRIBLE Nebraska team proving yet again the team Iowa beat is a shred of its former self.

My gawd

The Iowa fans I know dismissed the fact that Valentine was out when they beat "#1" MSU

Valentine was only 50% vs Iowa @ East Lansing---he is a shadow of himself vs December

Now MSU loses to crummy Wisconsin and horrible NEBRASKA--at home

Former #1 Okla--would never lose to Nebraska at home.....ever LMAO

I'd also bet WVU couldn't get beat by Texas.

Making fun of MSU is just freaking stupid. They loses 7-10 games every year, and yet they have made it to the Sweet 16 in 7 out of the last 8 years. In those 8 years they have 4 Elite 8 appearances, and 3 final 4 appearances. All I know is that I don't want to see those guys in the NCAA tournament.

We definitely played MSU at the right time that is for sure and it does take away some of the luster from those wins no doubt. But more importantly Iowa is now four games up on MSU in the win column. I don't think MSU cares if Iowa gets beat after they beat us most years and Iowa fans shouldn't care too much if MSU loses this year after we beat them twice.
