Iowa/MSU

Jok gets a ton of clean looks and he's got a big enough sample size to show his shooting percentage tells the whole story

I agree, but I still don't get why you have such a boner for Peter, or should a say a Peter boner?

Either way both shooters are career 35% 3pt shooters at the college level. Difference is Thomas is more a 3 pt specialist and defender than Jok, whereas Jok is a volume scorer as you put it. Thomas has logged over 400 more min. and nearly 100 more 3 pt shots taken than Jok, but Jok has still scored more career points.

Both are good players, but they are way different type of players.

No boner, his percentages speak to his abilities, simple as that. If you try to argue different you're not making sense

Curry being a 38% shooter as a junior needs context of why it's that way. He was constantly the focus of opposing defenses and I'm guessing he shot better every other year. Jok is a career 34 or 35% shooter. Nothing more nothing less. He can get hot but he's too inconsistent to be a great shooter. No context is needed when mentioning his stats because they reflect his true abilities

Jesus, even when I agree with you, you can't help but argue.

Hey I'm too lazy to look it up, but can you find the thread where you said UNI was a 4 seed? Just wanted to go over that prediction and pick your brain a little bit. I'm always interested in what a genius has to say.

So I was wrong on that one. I'm certainly not going to lose sleep over it. Even the best at a given craft miss the mark sometimes, so I'm certainly not going to have my feelings hurt when I'm wrong. But if it makes you feel better to think you're really burning me, then burn away.

Not sure what UNC and Marcus Paige have to do with this conversation.

Iowa just beat Top 5 MSU in the Breslin Center. Did you forget that?

Do you really think Izzo would rush Valentine back in mid January if he wasnt 100% of damn close to it?

Valentine looks 50% to me opposed to his play in December. And I have had Pantherhawks and dumb Iowa mbb fans actually tell me UNI's win over a Paige-less UNC is the same with Paige, and Mich St without Valentine the first time didn't matter

really stfu....with the dumbazz claims

Iowa/Pantherhawks the biggest turd-polishers ever

Speaking of polishing turds, I see a lot of optimism on the ball board after the win today against what looked like the worst P5 team I have seen all year on the offensive end.

And you truly are dense if you think Izzo would trot Valentine out there at 50%.

Perhaps you never watched NU, Minnesota, Rutgers, Penn St, Ohio St, Illinois, etc. So many bad B10 teams, it's hard to keep track of them all.

I have watched them and did not see any of those teams air ball shots inside 15 feet on back to back possessions and miss so many bunnies.

Poor offense today by K State.

He looked a shadow of what he was vs Kansas way back in November? Physically fine but rusty. There is something called "basketball shape". and he is far from 100%

and you are truly dense if you think Mich St or UNC are the same without their respective, healthy 1st team all-Americans

Good luck tomorrow--I hear Carver craphole might actually sell out.....attend if you want to be around the lowest IQ mbb fans in the country

You brought up Steph Curry's worst year of FG% to respond to Jok's numbers but I'm the one trying to argue. C'mon man even you know that was dumb. You're better than that

Lololoool

wrong on that one? Omg. They won't even make the tourney and you said they'd be a 4 seed. Wrong is isn't even in the same ballpark as what you said.

I just love the fact that you think you are smart. It just makes me laugh.

The whole point of that was that the shooting percentage alone doesn't tell the story. I fully agree that Jok is not even remotely on Curry's level; I'm aware that Curry's worst year definitely saw him face intensive attention from opposing defenses and put up tougher shots. That was kind of my point; 38% doesn't tell you the whole story about Curry's season. You say Jok's 36% does, but that's because you're using what you've seen on the floor (in other words, context). Without any context (Jok getting better looks than Curry did), the difference between 36% and 38% isn't very significant. That's all I was trying to say.

Hey, guys who get paid a lot of money to be smarter than me at analyzing college basketball had Iowa pegged to finish ninth in the Big Ten. I'm okay being way off on UNI.

This made me curious as to where these teams compare (rpi) to KSU, who looked like the worse P5 team to coolhawkeye.
KSU 59

NW 117, Minn 215, Rutgers 243, PSU 77, OSU 69, ILL 116, Wisc 110, Neb 178.

I said they looked like the worst P5 team in the nation yesterday offensively so I'm not sure what RPI rankings have to do with it.

Reading is hard apparently.

Hard to compare teams with the one game eyeball test but carry on.

This makes no sense. Shooting percentage in Jok's situation does tell the whole story so why even bring up Steph Curry's junior year numbers?

Why were you watching? A team you dislike vs a team that sucks. If it was only so you could have a conversation about it on here then that is sad and you need friends.
