Oh no! Quinn replied to me despite me not tagging him. I know you’re reading this, Quinn. Nobody gives a **** that you have a dozen listeners at your Webster City radio station.
Quinn is playing tough guy.
Not a good look, I mean semi threatening someone while using his work situation, I wasn't talking about his neck beard (which I do agree, is not a good look either).
I know several Iowa fans that used to mock Iowa State for supporting their women's team so well but these guys have all went to multiple games this year.
He also told me to “keep his name out of my mouth”. Made some pretty threatening statements to me. I wonder how his boss at the radio station would take this?
Quinn… use the block feature…. Or public ally look petty.
I have a very healthy amount of respect for people that work at these small town radio stations and call hundreds of games for a variety of schools. I have family members that did that for years, so I know exactly what goes into it. That being said, Quinn fits the mold of pretty much every small town radio person I have met that is under the age of 30.
He’s mad because I expressed my opinion about his opinion. He thinks he can express his opinion but I shouldn’t be allowed to tell him how stupid it is. Reeks of insecurity.
I have no problem with small town radio hosts because they quite literally are doing everything. I have a problem with blatant homerism from someone in the sports media when they should be independent. This is also the guy who came to Brommelkamp’s defense last year when Todd was in the wrong.
Oh I get it. In his station he's the "sports guy" so he's sort of the authority on sports...at his station. I'll maybe look at his take on the Webster City basketball team if I would ever need that for some reason. That's about where it ends though. The rest of what he says is nonsense and generally at the level or below the level of what you would get on any random message board. I think for him in particular, if he didn't take his "media" presence so seriously, his takes would be laughed off a lot easier. He just takes it way too seriously when he's not even close to an authority on a subject.
In their defense if you are going to go to an Iowa Basketball game the women would be more enjoyable than the men.
He's just a fat Iowa alum running his mouth, just like most uneducated hawk fans are these days. Look at Sears for WHO-TV blatant hawk homer on the air to that is an Iowa grad.

I didn't make the connection that this was the same guy. Thanks for the background, @CyPunch, it is all starting to make sense. It isn't just one instance of him getting a little carried away, this is systematic homerism.
