Fry would always refer to Iowa State as “over there”, couldn’t even say Ames. What a prick. We are witnessing the beginning of the end of the Hok football program. Soon to be battling Nebraska for the cellar. But lots of TV cash for a few years.
Does either team make a bowl this year? I don’t think Iowa will get to six wins.
I think Iowa will be 5-6 going into their final game against Nebraska. That game will likely be a toss up IMO.
I think ISU will also be 5-6 going into the TCU game.... and will lose that one to finish 5-7.
I'm guessing no but if so it will be really forgettable.
In that scenario let's hope they don't play one another. Once was hard enough to watch.
A bowl game no matter how meaningless is still beneficial I believe. As much as I would take any bowl, I’m just not seeing it this year from the Hawks.

Who does Iowa even beat to get to 5 wins? They aren't beating anyone with an offense with a pulse. Northwestern could be a win but then??? Not Wisconsin, Minnesota or Purdue. Maybe Nebraska but they are showing some life, might not be much but it's something.
There's definitely a few 80s/90s fans from either fan base that would be all over it.

That seems reasonable. This is the worst Iowa team since 2012.
And playing in the worst division in college football basically. If they were even average they'd run away with the B1G West.... it's horrendous.
There's similarities to ISU from that season except the defense appears to be better.
That season was a sign of things to come with CPR and it will be super interesting to see where things go next season.
If both offenses play like they did yesterday neither is getting to six wins. As it is, it will take another team absolutely fumbling the game away on offensive to give either a shot at six.
Without looking I am assuming both teams are the #1 defense in their league and both last place in scoring offense?
Somebody needs to make an ISU/Iowa version of this.
