Not about calls were the replays/reviews show the initial call was correct.
Maybe Kirk needs to waste more timeouts on good calls to keep the tavernhok fanbase happy.
It took me a little while for the pieces to come together, but Kirk’s whining that “the Big Ten would have stopped to take a look at that sideline catch” and “that ball broke the plane in the Big Ten” is truly, richly ironic once you realize the replay booth was Big Ten officials.

Big 12 officials on the field; Big Ten in the booth.

So sorry, Kirk, guess it’s not true that the Big Ten “would have taken a look” at that play or that it “broke the plane” in the Big Ten.

LMAO Iowa runs hurry up all the time when they have an offensive play that looked questionable. I've seen them run a fire call and just scramble up to the line for a quick QB sneak. Kirk can EABOD.

Why are you posting on an ISU message board about the refs when the burning pile of **** is within the Iowa football program’s 4 walls?
Because if there's one thing Iowa fans do well, it's throwing temper tantrums and deflecting blame like petulant, spoiled children.

There is no way you can tell from that photo taken from behind the end zone where the ball is at.

Where have I blamed the loss on officiating? I just said I thought Potterbaum was in before the fumble. It was a bang bang play and stuff happens.

I agree we are bad right now. Congrats on beating us by 3 points.
What about this angle?

Fixed.

But it wasn't just that play. Manning was doing a good job of switching tempos to keep the Iowa D uncomfortable. He would lull them to sleep and then slam on the tempo, then slow it down again. It is clear that State practices this way too because the whole team looked comfortable doing it - even the line which is where it usually will show up if there is a problem.

Every flipping angle they showed on TV showed it was short you whiny pup take the L and hope you win the B1G west. You know your offense is a fraud and the only good position on your team is your punter. (And he is very good)

LOL!, Iowa fans have actually been surprisingly quiet about the officiating. They know Iowa is a pretty bad team right now and the officials have nothing to do with that. If I remember right it was ISU fans putting an asterisk on an Iowa win over ISU in 19.

Quiet on the officiating? The CR Gazette put out an entire article whining about it. KF cried about too this week. You were being sarcastic right?

Again, no photo is going to show proof of anything. It looked like to me that he extended his arm over the goal line with the ball and then it got punched out and he got pulled backwards. I understand why the review wasn't overturned because it was inconclusive. I also understand why ISU fans believe what they believe.

Beating Iowa by 3 is like beating any other team by 10. They are really good at keeping the score close so you can come here and play your “moral victory/Iowa is so bad that means ISU isn’t that good because they barely beat us!” Card. Enjoy that card, but there’s no cash back on it. The only reward from it is you get to make yourself look a ***** every time you use it.

If I was an Iowa fan I would be placing more blame on the guy that didn’t go out and get a competent QB transfer and is wasting another year with a defense and special teams that would easily win the big ten west. Not complaining about refs.

I am deadly serious when I say that Petras would NOT start at QB for the Ankeny Hawks right now.

Again, BTN showed a split screen shot of the two camera angles synched up and that made it pretty clear that he lost the ball prior to crossing the plane. The angle from the pylon shows the ball breaking the plane but one small problem, he no longer had control. BTN did a great job piecing it together but I'm sure Iowa's coaches had a much clearer view from no where from up in the sky box.... So dumb that Kirk is even trying to make this a thing.
