Take those numbers how you will, but good gravy those are some really really poor QB stats. Purdue was no doubt the best with Nebraska coming in second with Martinez at the helm.

For reference only one school in the Big 12 had numbers like this and it was KU. Also, Casey Thompson threw for 2113 yards at a 63.2% clip, 24 TD and 9 interceptions with a 154.7 rating.

As far as whether Petras is third best.. I honestly don’t know. Looking at those numbers, maybe? Lol but that’s really not saying much at all.

If Iowa State plays relatively clean football with 1 turnover or less they should win. This game tends to get ugly though. It's called El Assico for a reason

You cannot take anything away from week 1 games…. especially with the difference in the level of competition that Iowa and ISU faced today. SDSU is a good team and good program, SEMO is pretty bad.

ISU OL is likely going to get destroyed by the Iowa DL. Quick passing game might be the only way to move the ball.

Iowa’s offense will figure some things out this week and will be better, they can’t possibly be any worse, right? ISU’s DB’s did not look great, and the DL did not get much pressure.

This game will be close, as always.

All Iowa games are ugly….. it’s how they want to play. Don’t kid yourself, KF loved how they won today with 2 safeties and a FG. A W is a W.

Although I like Dekkers to stay composed.

Next week will be really good for him long term either way.

You make good points and I agree I actually think sometimes Iowa States lead up game has sometimes hurt them in this game. Certainly the rain out against these rabbits for example. Having said that I think @Gonzo ,@7Got6 Would agree in that this might possibly the worst offense of the KF era. That's not an easy feat

I'm all for ugly next weekend. I didn't get to see Iowa State did Hunter look sharp?

Didn’t you have something like 68 yds total offense vs Wisky a few years ago?
