I see hokroaches on Twitter are clamoring over ISU’s lone 1st place vote in the Big 12 Football media poll thinking it was Randy Peterson who voted ISU as #1 (it was really Josh Pate). Do Hawk fans really think Randy is the cheerleader to ISU like Chad is to Iowa? Lol
Same here, except I grew up in the SW corner of the state (CW's hometown in fact) and there was like one kid that was an ISU fan. Most were Hawkeyes, with an unhealthy dose of Cornhusker fans. Having Omaha as our primary news channels ensured we heard about Nebraska before anything else. ISU football may have well not existed and their BB team was simply an annoyance to Iowa.

I moved into a small Iowa town that produced one of the hawks big name players at the time. It was ******* miserable. When Mac broke the losing streak, I literally thought it was the greatest day of my life. F*ck the hawks, always and forever.
It’s even worse when you grow up and realize all your Hawkeye fan relatives didn’t even go the university, as it was for my experience. At least my cousins have gone to UNI lol

Truly! Good thing I wasn’t a football fan as a kid and I wanted to go to school for ag engineering. I was able to escape the tin foil hat of eastern iowa hokdom before it got to me

They dressed the mannequin up like Ryan Kriener for the NCAA tourney. I know relatives of Ryan’s, they thought it was creepy. I feel bad for the mannequin

Boston College & Tom Davis. I wasn't aware of the biggest point-shaving scandal in college MBB the last 50 yrs, until I watched 30 on 30 / ESPN special on Boston College. Tom Davis was the head coach at the time. The mobsters were later portrayed in the movie "Goodfella's"

You're comparing a non-conference Nationally playing, private, highly religious program, in a decently populated State surrounded by heavily populated States to Iowa?
