Lol I've been saying this exact same thing to my Iowa friends and coworkers.

Kris might be an ok player, but to expect him to take this giant leap at 22 years old is just not going to happen.

And even if he makes that leap and puts up Keegan numbers, what about his numbers from this year? Who's going to make those up? He's not going to put up Keegan + Kris numbers from this year. Essentially, they're going to need one of their guys that could barely see the floor this year to suddenly become a huge contributor next year. And that's only to be as good as they were this year.

Kris Murray had to have benefited from all the attention on his brother. It's a TALL task to repeat 39% from 3 when the scouting report is to stop you from shooting

As much as Jbo is hated.. He did bring a dangerous shooting presence. Having Cmac, Patrick and Rebraca on the court at the same time will allow defenses to cheat over on Sandfort, Kris Murray and whomever else Fran is playing.

Best case scenario for Iowa is another bad year for the Big 10 and racking up wins against Minnesota, Northwestern and Nebraska

And to be honest I think Minnesota is going to be salty + Fred’s in a make or break season.

Funnelnut, everything Hawkeye, and ballwasher Quinn Douglas still bitter about Luka not getting POY and then on the rag about Clark not getting women's POY award. Dude needs a social life!

I could see him at one of the ISU scrimmages at Ames or Gilbert just so he can talk crap about ISU.

"Connor got pretty hot at the end of the year."
-Chad on 1460 now

They're expecting Kris to take the same step forward that his brother did. Certainly, he could, but it's far, far, far from a given. They're expecting PMac to take a step forward as well.

However, you're correct. Keegan led them in points, rebounds, blocks, field goal percentage, and 3point percentage.

Toussaint led them in assists and steals

So they're losing their top contributor in basically every major category.

Jorbo was their second leading scorer and between him and Keegan, accounted for roughly half of the team's made 3 pointers, about 40% of their made field goals and about 40% of their free throw attempts.

So there's definitely some room for some folks to step up

Keegan's defense/shot blocking and offensive rebounding flew very under the radar this past season. He scored a ton of points with quick put backs. Dude is like a spring board.

Kris doesn't play with his back to the basket like his brother and he doesn't have the same handle either. I'm not saying he isn't a good player but he won't get down hill to the rim at will like Keegan did. Then again if the B1G defends like they did this year then anything is possible.

Connor lit up the Huskers, NW and Penn St, not exactly murders row. Change the narrative to he plays good against horrible teams and I can get on board Chad.

If they capped his minutes at 8-10 and just said, hey be a pain in the ass and make a couple shots. Seems like he could be a serviceable bench guy for 4-6 pts, but if he's looked to be more than that, think it stretches him and exposes the weakness in his game.

Can't figure out why they'd be trying to turn him into a starter getting 20+ mins a game though...

I have to ask though.. using your logic and capping his minutes, how would he score 4-6 ppg? He averaged 2.5 ppg at 17 mpg lol.
