Iowa -7 vs ISU

Why do we care anyway? I don't care how other schools punish their players. Why don't we want Wirfs to play against us? Do we want them under full strength? Are we pussies?

It's mandatory to miss a game for an OWI at ISU, it's not at Iowa. No way CMC let's a kid play without missing a game for an OWI

If an injured non-senior gets an OWI before a bowl game we will find out. If not, we will never know.

I don't think that's what is going on here, but wasn't there a couple of former Iowa players that claimed the Iowa staff was racist (not exactly how they worded it, but it was something along those lines)

Could do like he did with Antwan Allen when he broke that guy jaw who was just standing there minding his own business. Play the bowl game, we need you. Miss the game against an fcs team the next year.

He also did that whole rape cover up thing too.

So Jeff’s Brother, what’s your rational on that?

He even made Antwan sit out the fcs season opener after not suspending him for putting an innocent guy in the hospital. He didn’t miss the bowl game, needed him there.

Would have done the same here if this guy were healthy, and he thought he needed him.

"Jeff's brother". That's a good one.

I wasn't a fan of Allen's punishment then or now.

Any thoughts on the game this fall or is the game plan to just flame? I'll talk football all day, but if you want to flame, derpy is your guy.

No. I think it should be a tough game for both sides. I think Iowa State’s front 7 on d will decide what happens.

Iowa will play as inspired of a game as they will all year, and that will make it tough for Iowa State to win the game.

But I would be happy to trade an Iowa loss for a win against OU again in a heartbeat.

I wouldn't argue with that. That was a hell of a win. Who's up next to replace Lanning?

I don't agree at all with some of the punishments CMC has handed out either. Neither school is completely clean. No school is. I don't think Reiff should have been punished at all, and feel a little bad for him really. And Tongamoa for ISU should be getting 2 games IMO, not one. And I think Wirfs, without knowing all details yet, should also probably get 2 games. But likely he will get 1, just like Tongamoa.

But for derpycy to not be able to understand that different crimes can have different penalties is absurd stupidity and needs to be called out by fellow Iowa fans like yourself. Good job!

I try to be as objective as possible. Sometimes it's hard to avoid getting drug into the weeds on an In-state rivals board. I appreciate the sentiment and right back at you.
