By my calc it takes ISU about $100K of S&C coach salary to produce an NFL top pick and it takes the Hoks about $750K. And I thought UofI was a business school.

So we can count all of Doyle’s success? Keep moving the goal posts maybe you will get it right.
If K- State was able to out perform Iowa with multiple S&C coaches, perhaps we are overestimating the value that one guy is really bringing to the program...
So Doyle gets 11 extra years on Kansas State because Chris Dawson hasn't been there for 20 years?
Look, if you go from when Dawson has been there until now, he is better than Doyle. If you go from when Doyle started and looking at K State as a program K State is better than Doyle. Not complicated

How was the goalpost moved? You set the measure of success as the ability to elevate 2-3 star recruits to NFL ability. Just running with your angle. Not a bad approach really you just needed to do some more research on how Doyle compares to other S&Cs when measured that way.
Does this time frame include the 3 horrific Ron Prince years?
Assuming that it was more than one S&C coach in that timeframe, it suggests that plug-and-play with Hans & Franz at KSU is better than Craig Doyle.
It has been and hoks should be proud. Spending that kind of $$$ I would hope for no less, looks like we are in for some of the same on a bargain.
Point is you still can’t find a single S&C coach that has done equal to or better than Doyle at producing 1st Team All-Americans, National Award Winners and NFL talent from 2-3 star recruits.
So what you are left with is moving the goal posts.
I never saw the number of 2 and 3 stars for this time period that were turned into AA's by KSU. Can you repost them please?
