I noticed this thread was supposed to be about the spread of a football game. I was crushingly disappointing to learn the title of the thread is neither a depiction of the current spread for the game, nor was their any discussion about betting or the game.
I like to gamble, and would love a thread discussing gambling.I am sure others feel that way too. However, this thread appears to be a pissing match about random things. Could someone change the title to reflect what this thread actually is? I would hate for other hopeful gamblers to fall into this trap.

So just let us know when academics are important enough at iSu for it be a criteria used to set merit increases for Assistant Football coaches. Then iSu fans tout how Iowa’s grad rate is too low.

That seems about right to me. Being in Kinnick is obviously a big advantage, especially for a big game. I would wait until seeing each team week one before putting any money down. Each team looks solid entering the year, but it will be interesting to see how each approaches the first week stylistically. I'm tempted to take Iowa State before the line moves, but that might just be my excitement for the season to start.
I need to see Iowa State's D-Line back up their pre season hype against South Dakota State before I feel comfortable picking them against Iowa, as O - Line is typically where Iowa is most dominant against ISU. I also need to see if Iowa State can run the ball consistently. I do think the ISU O-Line is better this year, though they need to demonstrate they'll be able to help Montgumery work a it less.
As for Iowa, I am going to assume, per usual, they will have a strong Defense, and a sound Offensive line. If they can throw the ball well against Norther Illinois to anyone other than Fant I would imagine the spread might bubble from -7.5 - 10 Iowa.
End of the day, I think the money pick is Iowa if the spread shrinks, but if the spread balloons then take ISU and the points.
