First, show me where I mentioned Iowa counted it in. Show me where I specifically mention how Iowa does anything with tickets. So I won't link there.
Second, I guess I need a tape recorder on me every time that I have spoken to JP. JP is in the public a lot and will discuss just about anything with you if you ask politely. I was curious why our ticket income didn't jump as much when the suites went in, he answered it for me. So feel free to disregard since I have info from the source and not a linkable third or fourth hand source.

I don't think it's a stretch to say Northern Illinois is a bigger game than Maryland. Of Iowa's opponents Northern Illinois is the only team they play that was undefeated against the Big 10 last year.
First game of the year is always a big game, especially with FryFest going on and all the former coaches coming back. Its not a bigger game than a conference game but its our toughest non con game and there is a lot going on that weekend so it makes sense.
But two of those conference games aren't spirit games like the Northern Illinois one and the spirit games are the most important ones
I get that you are salty that the Iowa AD views the ISU game as just another game while CMC has the countdown clock ticking.
But arguing over spirit games? This is a new low for you.

It's been since 2011 Iowa sold out their home opener. So much for that being a big game
