Having 13 defensive backs drafted under Parker, if even true doesn't make him one of the best in the business
Wow you must think MC is pretty bad at what he does.

How did Kirk fair at Maine and his first two years at Iowa?Wow you must think MC is pretty bad at what he does.

Why do you say that? I think CMC is damn good at what he does but he's not one of the best coaches in the country even though he is the reigning Big 12 Coach of the Year. It appears by the lack of ammo you guys have Parker hasn't won anything in his 20 years at Iowa which is kind of sad
Well he was handed a top-10 4* WR who's 6'5, 220+, with good speed, and developed him into an UDFA.
Parker has taken 2 and 3 star guys and had nearly as many DBs drafted in his time at Iowa as OU and Texas has had drafted, more than Michigan's had. Can you imagine what his numbers would be if he was getting the 4 and 5 star DB recruits those schools get? Unreal.
So Parker is good at getting players drafted is what you're saying. Not sure what that has to do with his abilities as a college coach though
He did have a 4 star committed last class and then ignored him so he decommitted
I was just going to post that. You would think with a program that does put a lot of guys in the NFL, that takes in and spends a lot of money, that the results would be better. So Parker is good at getting players drafted is what you're saying. He's talking about the NFL.You're not sure what taking unheralded, lightly recruited 2/3 star DBs and turning them into Thorpe Award winners, Thorpe Award finalists, NFL draft picks, has to do with his abilities as a coach?
Wow. You should maybe get some sleep.

He turned the best CB he ever coached was a 5th round pick? Yikes for you guys that credit coaches based on their draft picks. Like I said I'm a college guy not an NFL/NBA guy
So you don't think turning 2/3 star recruits into NFL draft picks and national award winners/finalists is an indication of good coaching. Sure, makes sense.
Haha, right.
Where did I say that?So you don't think turning 2/3 star recruits into NFL draft picks and national award winners/finalists is an indication of good coaching. Sure, makes sense.
If he's so good at what he does why is he getting 2 star recruits and ignoring 4 stars? That makes no sense
What is wrong with what I said? King is the best CB he ever had and didn't go until the 5th round. For someone who brags about NFL picks that's not something to gloat about IMO
Where did I say that?
Kirk Ferentz and his staff's job is to win at Iowa, not put guys in the NFL.
With the facilities, coaches, money, your program under achieves.
Iowa is a program that occasionally has to say 'thanks but no thanks' to 4* guys.
TrollolollollolI just love your obtuseness when it comes to the connection between college coaching/production and getting drafted. Not saying I don't blame you, for obvious reasons. Just funny.
