Insanity!!!

I stopped doing P90X just because it was too time consuming, but I joined a gym and just hit the 50 pounds lost mark, would like to drop another 6 or 7 and then slowly bulk up a bit. I've noticed definite strength gains since I started at the gym. It feels nice to be atleast kind of in shape for once in my life.

I try to do cardio as little as possible because it bores me to tears, but I still do it some just for general health reasons.

Nice job!

I dropped about 50 pounds last year, and it makes a huge difference.

down 80 lbs since Jan 1st.

Just started phase III of p90x yesterday. 5 weeks left, we will see how it goes.

Started my 4th cycle of P90X on Monday. Cycle 3 was an absolute disaster as over that 3 month period I dealt with a move - a 2-week house hunting trip, the actual move where I didn't have my workout equipment, unpacking and settling, and the stress of it all leaving me exhausted every day. Not to mention I've become far too strong to use "over the door" coat hook and resistance band combo for my back exercise - I snapped the hook in two pulls and the band propelled the hook straight into my face. I'm lucky it hit my forehead and not my eye, although I've now got a pretty cool scar to show for it. Oh yeah, I'm also skittish doing my back exercises, although now I'm using a pull up bar rated to support 325 lbs.

Anyway, I've forgotten I can hurt like this. I just need to make it thru this week - next week will be better.

I'm also really looking forward to P90X2 coming out later this year.

So I ordered this thing about 6 months ago and now am set to start. I was at about 250 when I ordered it and was told to get in better shape before I did it. I also had a vacation, fieldwork, and got my tonsils out so there was going to be a struggle. Now, I think I should be able to do it straight through, plus I am as light as I have been since high school so it's time. Next Monday is the day I will find out how much hell I will be in for the next couple months.

Keep at it. I did Insanity first, then a round of P90x, then a hybrid of the 2, and today I'm starting with another hybrid but more focused on P90x. Just remember to wear a heart rate monitor and go at your own pace. It's easy to max out, even during "warm ups".

Good luck to you!

I'm on my phase 2 of P90X2. OMFG. If you thought P90X was tough, this blows it out of the water. Virtually all of the exercises are done off balance with a stability ball or medicine balls which just makes it that much tougher. But I love it.

I started insanity tonight and did the fitness test. I thought I was at least in decent shape but I gotta say it kicked my ***! I was just curious to see if anybody else out there has done insanity? What did you think? I know I'm in for a LONG 60 days!

is it taught by this early 90's "Stop the insanity" infomercial chick?
