Initial CyHawk Game Predictions

KF just ruled Jackson out for the next 2 games at minimum so he wont be playing against ISU. We also had Riley Moss get hurt on Saturday and he is out 4-6 weeks per KF.

Banwart has a shot to be back this week against Rutgers.

Brents is out again this week and could miss the ISU game as well with an injury.

Missing both Brents and Moss is a big hit to our secondary depth.

Lets pump the brakes on that one!

You've got one data point for each team. Iowa looked meh then pretty decent. ISU looked pretty consistent throughout its performance...which was actually actually quite a bit better stats-wise than score-wise, and perhaps a bit flukey (bad review call that upheld UNI's TD).

Gun to my head at this moment based on Saturday's performances, I'd give Iowa the edge. I think ISU has the higher ceiling but Campbell needs to figure out how to get these guys playing closer to their potential earlier in the season. If he does that, ISU wins.

That's a wishy-washy answer but it's too early and we know too little about either team for anyone to answer confidently.

Trust me, they will play.

Moss and Jackson definitely wont. The other 2 have a shot it sounds like, Banwart being more likely than Brents.

Lol yeah OK

Lets pump the brakes on that one!

Borrowing Twins' schtick, huh?

Certainly, you can do better than that.

Huh? I'm not sure what Twins has to do with the fact that Kirk played a first round draft pick on one leg in his super bowl the same week he had surgery?

Iowa looked pretty damn solid. We're going to have to take more chances and not shoot ourselves in the foot to win. However, a Matt Campbell team is capable of doing that. I'll go ISU 24 - Iowa 21.

With or without the one legged player out there I have Iowa 24-17

Co-sign. It'll be close, but I've been nervous about this game from the jump.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Iowa's offense won't be nearly as productive on the 14th.
