You are right. Their rich fans buy them better bowl games and other invites they do not deserve.
Lol. That is rich.

I agree, but until we have all the mid to low-major conf. championships in it's hard to gauge just how bad the bubble will be. Just takes a few upsets to make things interesting.
Not really. The only mid-major conference that could get more than one that I can think of off hand is the MVC if WSU doesn't win the ship today. Hoks got lucky with the weak sauce bubble this year.

Agree totally. One of their 20 wins is against a D-2 team, Abilene Christian. Big 10 is weaker from a RPI standpoint than a year ago and their record was no better. What was their record against the RPI top 100 anyway? At one point it was shockingly bad. 1-4 down the street with a couple bad losses. Also very few good wins, Michigan at home was about it. If there was a normal tourney bubble this year, they'd be sweating it.
I get what you're saying, but off the bubble teams from MWC, WCC, A10 and majors could easily still take spots. Or bubble teams like Neb and WVU could play themselves into their leagues getting more at large bids with 2 solid wins. Anything but chalk hurts a team like Iowa should they lose int he first round.

The hype that has carried Iowa this year is really unprecedented. How in hell are they still top 25 (they better not be today)!! They must have the worst resume of any top 25 team by a LONG way. Same record as last year and last year they are NIT and this year a NCAA lock?? Please. If they weren't so hyped going in they would be right where they should be which is waiting for that coveted NIT invite. Fran could learn a lot from Fred on mismatches. While Fred looks to exploit them, Fran is teeing them up for the other teams. Marble isn't perfect, but he should NEVER leave the floor except for maybe a minute or less before a TV time out. White could be great...if he was aggressive. He is best right now just playing rebounds above the rim. No real threat to create. Gessell has a good handle and is quick but man, is there anyone more choke prone? Olesane is underutilized. McCabe hurts them 2x as much as helps. Woodbury would be absolutely terrible if he wasn't 7 foot. At 7 foot he is merely not good. If we were dropping that many games to bad teams at home I would be sick.
Is this true? Weren't Hok fans all up in arms about the MWC and how they played "The RPI Game" last year? If so then lol.
And that is it in a nutshell. Hype! There is St. John's, Arkansas, West Virginia to name a few who are every bit if not more worthy than the Hawks....but because the lack of "hype"...don't get the B of D Iowa does. It's BS. If last year's version of Iowa Hawkeye basketball was not worthy....then this year's team certainly is not. They win two in their tourney....maybe.Because somebody somewhere that one time said they were deeeeppppp and FF worthy even though they were generating all of two "resume" wins. The homey EI media took that and literally choked every last drop out of it they could.
Ha! Just saw that EIU lost! Love it! Too bad sqawks!
