Illinois-Iowa

Iowa has the talent. Fred would have had them at least 12-6 in the BIG. Roster/player wise, they have what it takes to make a run, but so do about 40 other teams.

I refuse to connect talent in basketball to players that can't do the number one basketball skill very well; shooting. Their droughts this season have been absolutely epic. If you put their droughts together there is like 6 games worth of minutes that they haven't scored.

Skill wise, they shoot better than we do (or have). Again, it is more of not utilizing the skill and talent you do have in the correct fashion than not having enough of either.

More than just McCabe.
White, Marble, and the little pg should all be 30+ minute guys, with Olaseni and Basabe being 25+ minute guys. Clemmons, Woodbury, and Ogelsby used as needed (foul trouble, or in the case of Ogelsby, shooting). Uthoff could be utilized as a match-up problem for the defense some games, but more often than not he is put in the position of being on the short end of the mismatch, so he might as well ride the pine.

Fran will keep recruiting guys who are one dimensional and we will keep laughing.

2013 Iowa = 2014 Iowa.

I believe Iowa's been buying those domain names since the Alford days. I'm pretty sure that someone had a very active firestevealford.com site going, and they've been trying to avoid that occurring again.

Yeah, word is a site like that can be a great way to start an online community.

Can someone please explain to me how that is a top 25 team?

Iowa has faded, but is a tournament lock.

How the team was still in the top 25 going into the week, that's a different quandary.

Not sure how they're a lock. Someone explain to me how this team is anything more than a 10-11 seed if they even make the tournament. Their best wins are Michigan and an Ohio St team that isn't all that great. The worst teams in the league - Northwestern, Purdue, Illinois, Penn St and Minnesota - account for six of their nine Big 10 wins.

He's a cross between Rondo and Chris Paul. I anticipate both Gessell and Clemmons transferring....Dickerson is that good.

He's the Cezar Guerreo of the new Mad Fran era.

I've been assured many times that they don't really need a PG so why did Mad Fran swoop in and steal this guy from Seattle?

There's talent on the roster, but they lack mental toughness. If it's a close game in the second half you can pretty much bank on them finding a way to **** it away. If they get caught in a slowed down halfcourt game they're screwed, because Marble is the only guy on that roster I would trust to create his own shot in a set offense.
