How far can Iowa go?

Out of curiosity I just looked at last 10 years.
Iowa State SOS averaged 16.7, 9 out of 10 years in top 25 hardest schedule.
Iowa SOS averaged 39.8, 1 out of 10 years in top 25 hardest schedule.

Like you said, almost identical schedule difficulty.
Lol mic drop

So Iowa's average SoS over the last 10 years has been inside the top-40?

Iowa State SOS averaged 14.5, 9 out of 10 years in top 25 hardest schedule.
Iowa SOS averaged 38.8, 1 out of 10 years in top 25 hardest schedule.

edit: I accidently grabbed 2010 instead of 2011. I have fixed those and the numbers are even more spread.

LOL, beating your chest over SOS, you guys never change.

That gap would be a lot smaller if Campbell wasn't an auto-win for Kirk - we knock all the luster off ISU and people downplay the victory every year. #SuperBowl, amirite??

This year especially - we get a huge win at Ames and 2 weeks later its an unimpressive win because ISU forgot to show up to 2021.

FIU, Austin Peay, and Maryland non con.

Woof. Would be interested to see what the rest of their schedule was like that year. Either way, Cincy's #97 SoS will undoubtedly drop on the back half. A SoS below 100 is hardly an impressive resume.

Cincy's current SoS is #97 and the toughest part of their schedule is behind them. What was UCF's schedule like?

ISU's current SOS would be lower than this if Iowa wasn't pumping up their SOS so much. I mean they are #66 even having played Iowa, imagine how bad that would be without Iowa on the schedule. WOOF!

ISU really has yet to look good.

But you're saying that was a huge win?

College gameday thought it was a big game
Had the largest TV audience for a Cy-Hawk game ever
Des Moines Register called it the most anticipated Cy-Hawk game ever

So yeah, was a huge win at the time.
Of course now we're being told it wasn't impressive.
Same with Indiana
Same with Tua and the Terrapins (Taluia thanks Twins)
Within 3 weeks we'll be hearing that Penn State isn't any good too, I guarantee it

Tua plays for the Dolphins and Maryland blows. What a weird thing to add in
