How far can Iowa go?

Tracy sucks. I'm not sure why you guys are so high on him
As a true wr he's been a little disappointing. Some of that's him and some of it is I'm not sure we are using him right. We gave him a nice screen vs kent state that he tripped over 35 yard line but I'd like to see more of those plays were you get it in his hands and let him run in space

He's mediocre at best and that's probably generous. I think Eickholt predicted him to be first team All Conference this year too

I think they’ve got a lot of arrows in the quiver still since the first five games were not really in question by the 4th quarter or earlier.
Maryland game was such a more wide open gameplan you're right. I think they knew we would likely need to score more and drive the ball. It ended up not being true as we probably could of been vanilla and won off turnovers alone again.

I’d say Kolar and Rose are “studs”. Eisworth seems to have lost a step. I’ve always thought Purdy was overrated. McDonald is probably the next closest to a “stud”. Hutchinson is a nice player but not a game changer.
McDonald is most definitely a stud. I get the short fields and all that, but don’t forget that Iowa gained 173(!) total yards, 1.7(!) yards per rush and was 4-15 on 3rd down against Iowa State. You better hope that ISU’s defensive talent is somewhat comparable to Penn State’s because you all are most likely going to have to put the ball in the end zone a few times on Saturday.

Iowa put the ball a few times in the end zone against ISU. They also shut down any resemblance of an offense to bleed clock once they got the big lead. They passed the ball twice the last 18 minutes of the game.

From a conference championship perspective will Iowa State fans be for Oklahoma or Texas this weekend? Texas right?

He’s really good no doubt.

The throw to Jones was beautiful. Hats off to him and Petras in that one. Play of the game really. Other than that Iowa was stifled even before ISU got loose with the ball and Brian could afford to shut it down. I’m just saying I would be careful to denigrate the talent level of ISU’s D. You should be hoping they are upper echelon because you won’t dominate field position like that every week.

No one is denigrating the talent of ISU's defense. It could be the best defense Iowa faces all year.

Been listening to ESPN's podcasts this week as everyday they are discussing Iowa vs Penn St. Funny, they don't seem to think that Kirk is racist at all, and are signing his praises for his program. It shouldn't surprise me to find out that ISU fans are way out of touch with the rest of college football.

Jesus Christ, how long are the ignore lists of people that actually try and hold a discussion in here

He will get drafted higher than Mike Rose and it might not even be close.
I think that's pretty likely, just because Iowa is "known" for producing NFL players at certain positions while ISU is still trying to develop that reputation.

Based strictly on NFL production compared to other schools, you could argue that Iowa generally underperforms their talent level.
