How far can Iowa go?

Im talking more about the CFP/Big 12 championship aspirations disappearing over a 14 day period but yeah, you did beat Kansas - good work Clones, I guess things are going well. I stopped watching that one when the Kansas QB untouched just set the ball on the ground for ISU.
Speaking of unforced turnovers…I think the Maryland QB just hit another CB in the numbers.

If the turnovers continue, giving the offense short fields, Iowa will win the B1G and get into the CFP. Is it enough to beat Bama/Georgia and really threaten for a national championship? Hard to say, but maybe.

Their offense won't lose them any games, but I don't know yet that it's capable of winning games when needed. How many scoring drives of 70+ yards have they had? MAYBE they can get through a season without needing one. Will they though?
Iowa might beat Alabama or Georgia 1 out of 100 games. Most Iowa fans aren’t calling for either of those teams yet.

Its kind of weird - the higher Iowa climbs in the polls, the more desperate the cries "but racism" echo on over here. That had all but disappeared while ISU was ranked above Iowa all summer. How bad is it gonna get when we beat luck our way past Penn State to #3 next week?

I know this season has been a terrible let down and all and its hard to talk about, but hammering this false narrative isn't going to undo any of those Purdy picks
All to predictable.

Nwankpa’s team mate Kadyn Proctor, also a 5* and potential package deal, will also be in attendance.

Great time to have the #3 team in the country. Be even better if they can keep their mind off all the attention and win.

It’s almost like players with options don’t want to play for racists. Or fans of racism, like yourself

And still waiting for you to answer those simple questions

There will be 2 teams from the BIG West who will end season with a winning record. That is how bad BIG West is this year.

Of the Top 4 Big Ten Opponents Iowa could play this year they will play (1)...Penn St... Can you imagine if ISU skipped OU, TX and OKie state this year and replaced them with IL, Purdue, NW... LOL.

As for the benching of QB's...After a QB has had 4+ turnovers and the game is over there is absolutely zero point in playing the same QB....

Iowa has played 3 games that matter so far...in those 3 games the Iowa defense has been given 14 turnovers...Literally 5 turnovers a game on average. That is truly unreal and unheard of. Georgia Southern last year lead the nation in turnovers gained with 24 last year over 13 games.... Iowa is on pace to get 40 turnovers...There is no way Iowa keeps this pace up.
Certainly can’t this pace up but this isn’t an anomaly of good luck. Iowa has more interceptions than any D 1 program since 2017. They haven’t been in a close game yet so time will tell. The offense is improving every week. I’m just not sure if the run blocking is going to be good enough right now to win the B10

Yeah this 1969 character has legitimate mental health issues. Watching him scream into the void is actually kind of sad. I kind of feel bad for him.

Anyway, PSU will not be an easy task. And as bad as the west is, every team at this level has good players and coaches. Winning 10 games is really hard against any schedule. Winning 12 is incredibly difficult. But Iowa has their program and team at a level that it’s possible.
1969 is the only poster ive blocked. Loose cannon.

Understandable. He appears to have real mental health problems, and lashes out frequently. I guess it doesn’t really bother me, so I don’t need to block him. I really just feel bad for him and hope he finds some peace.

Of course it doesn’t bother you…. if racism doesn’t bother….. what would??

Some other encouraging signs from the Maryland game, that point towards Iowa’s ability to go the distance: passing to set up the run, counters and PA boot.

Teams have just been crashing the line. And why wouldnt they. Now they have something think about.
