How far can Iowa go?

What is the purity test around here to qualify as an ISU fan? If it includes spewing vile nonsense count me out. Every fan base has a lunatic fringe though.

Writing the grades of a kid with a learning disability on a white board for everyone to see to demean and humiliate him, is not vile in your estimation then?

ISU fans need to acknowledge (and I am a Cyclone fan):

1) Kirk Ferentz is a better coach than Campbell.
2) Brian Ferentz is a better OC than Herman.
3) Both teams have elite defensive coaches - but Parker is able to teach on the field discipline better. (hardly ever any penalties for silly emotional decisions).
4) Iowa's special teams is considerably better than ISU.
5) Iowa's strength / development program is still considerably better than ISU.

This may be one of Iowa's best teams, and they have a great opportunity to make the playoffs. If we try to excuse their success by listing their off the field problems, it will lead to them continuing to dominate us on the field.
I’m 100% jealous of Iowa football. Us peeing down our legs with our best football team ever, and Iowa cruising towards the playoffs just screams typical Iowa State…

Agree.... definitely admire what Iowa is able to do on the field. Off the field.... now that's a different story. Off the field.... they are disgusting.

What was it like watching Iowa grind Maryland to a pulp as the #5 team in the country, while having the announcers praise Ferentz response to the Doyle crisis last year?

It’s almost like this “racist program” narrative is a fairytale that only exists here.

Imagine being fine with what they did

This week's top Capt KKKirk Trashcan Award contender.

I agree. And oh, the many many black players who are presently playing for Iowa are kinda more "qualified" to judge on whether the program is racist, than the white posters on this site...

What was Kirk's response if there was a "crisis?"

Do you think every Baylor, Penn St, or Michigan St player knew they had awful leaders?

Anyway. The Iowa Hawkeyes are really good at the game of football. They have elite special teams, and defense. And their offense has some very nice pieces. It will take them far.

Is it an elite defense, or a good defense playing crappy offensives? Do you really think any defense can continue to get 3 or 4 turnovers game after game? If you do, then you are fooling yourself. There is NO doubt the EIU is playing well, but your fan base act like they are ready for Alabama next.
Worst thing a coach or fan base can do is look at a team that is playing poorly thinking it will continue week after week, or playing well and think the same.

We are in week 5, we have a long way to go to start crowing about the playoff and EIU having an elite defense.

You seem super insecure. Any fan of a team that is top 5 in the country would be enjoying the ride. If not, what’s the point of being a fan? This site would be going freakin bonkers if ISU were in the playoff discussion whether it was week one, five, or ten. The Hawkeyes are smack dab in the middle of the playoff discussion and right now, at this moment, they deserve to be. Hawkeye fans are enjoying it as they should. Clearly you are struggling with that.
