Reasonable take. I don’t know any reasonable Hawk fans that doesn’t think the offense needs to improve. That’s why many of us aren’t counting the Maryland, Purdue and Nebraska games as sure things.Long story short is there will be at least one game this year where Iowa's defense isn't getting 2-4 turnovers/defensive TDs and Petras is going to have to win that game. Can he and that offense do it? That's really the question because if any Hawk fan believes you are going to continue to get this type of defensive production from a turnovers and points perspective you're crazy. No team keeps the current pace the Hawk defense is at through two games.
Iowa will not lose to Penn State at home. They might drop a game to Northwestern or Purdue if they play them. Maryland wouldn't concern me. Nebraska might be interesting given that it's in Lincoln and they appear to have somewhat of a pulse at least. Wisconsin is overrated but always a tough game for the Hawks.
Fairly evenly matched teams. Goal line stand by PSU inside of 4 minutes to preserve the win. How’d they do?

Are you still scared of the vaunted Maryland offense?
How did Indiana do at home?
Michigan and Michigan State look very solid. Should find out more about Wisconsin this week.
Big 12 had a good week. Kansas State, Oklahoma State and West Virginia all picked up nice wins.
B-Seemed as though your comment was alluding to the fact that they weren’t that good or had as good as athletes. They won and looked good.
I wouldn’t say I am scared of Maryland but I could absolutely see them losing that game. Perfect trap game scenario with Penn State the following week and it being on a Friday night on the East Coast. But Iowa should win that game. Maryland already beat one of the better B12 teams.
Indiana didn’t win that’s really all you need to say. But it was certainly competitive. Just as competitive as the Oklahoma-Nebraska game.
B10 went 2-1 against the B12. With the one loss Coming on the road to the best team in the conference played by one of the B10’s worst teams with Nebraska having the ball with a chance to tie. I’d say this nonconference season was pretty close to a disaster for the B12. B10 is now 10-4 vs B12 since 2015.

Cincy and Indiana was a coinflip? Cincy beat them by 14 on their home field. Cincy outscored them 38-10 in the last 32 minutes of the game. It was an ass kicking once Cincy figured them out.
The Big 12 was a “disaster” in the non-conference?
They were 20-4 in the non-conference. The losses are to @ Maryland, @#17 Coastal Carolina, @#16 Arkansas and vs. #5 Iowa. Not like they are losing by 28 to Virginia or a Duke team that lost to Charlotte, or UTSA at home. The Big 10 was 24-7 in non-conference.
If the Big 12 is a disaster then how do you describe the ACC or PAC-12 performances?
The Big 10 is 2-2 vs. the ACC does that mean the ACC is the equivalent to the Big 10?

I remember one guy saying Big 12/future Big 12 would go 3-0 v. B1G... WVU>Maryland, ISU>Iowa, Cincy>Indiana.
The B12 non-conference schedule was ridiculously weak. Best win for the conference was by WVU over Va Tech. The same WVU that lost to Maryland. Probably a good tune up though for conference opponents though with their non conference scheduling.
Having the ball with a chance to tie seems loosely interpreted when they had the ball at their own 11 yard line with a second to go. Just an 89 yard play away.Seemed as though your comment was alluding to the fact that they weren’t that good or had as good as athletes. They won and looked good.

Since you want to chime in, what is the best non-conference win for the Big 10?I think it was @Mesaclone1

What is the best win for the Big 10 in their non-conference?
So their best win is the #22 ranked team at home. So the Big 12 has the best non-conference win of either conference.Probably PSU>Auburn.
