Hlas prediction for Stanzi

I know you guys saw all of his pick's so I'll give you that the receivers might have been responsible for some of them, but seems like whenever I saw Iowa, and Stanzi threw a pick, he just threw right to a breaking defensive back/LB. Last year Stanzi was not as good of a QB as Tony Pike. This year, he might reach that level, but it's hard to assume that.

I love how it's assumed that Iowa's players will improve and ISU's won't. Classic.

Who said ISU won't?

That's how it works. You don't think Iowa receivers will improve (you implied it, at least), and failed to even mention that Iowa will have three capable backs next season.

FWIW, I think ISU will be improved at the OL and RB on offense. QB is the big question mark....AA's WR's should be solid this year, probably not quite as good as last year as a unit, but solid. If AA improves, ISU's offense should really take off. If he continues to be an inconsistent QB....ISU will likely struggle on offense this year and be kind of sporadic like they were last year.

On defense I think ISU is probably going to be weaker across the board than they were last year (maybe a little stronger at CB, but the DL's inability to pressure a QB will really make the CB play look worse than it is). LB will be very inexperienced and the DL is just plain lacking talent. I still think this ISU D will play above its level because Burnham seems to be a good DC, but I have a pretty hard time believing this years ISU D (even after considering development) will be better than last years D.

Pike also plays in a pass happy system, against worse competetion. Also, I don't see Pike's name on this list. According to this list, someone named Adam Weber - who sucks - is a better pro prospect than Tony Pike, as is Austen Arnaud.

Tony Pike threw a lot fewer INTs than Stanzi. I agree that they have a lot in common, but Pike is more consistent. A LOT more consistent.

I'll say Stanzi goes for about 23-15 this year. 5-7th round in the draft.

And won't make it out of camp.

That's an extremely telling sign of the extent you follow college football.

How cute, you and CBD have the same avatar, and you better be careful calling out another poster in a sig, the mods here won't stand for it. Or so I've been told. Why does it matter if I know what class Tony Pike was in. Is there some reason that I should be familiar with the ins and outs of the Bearcat roster?

I know, it's totally cute isn't it? Also, how is he calling you out? His sig is simply something you said. If you don't want people quoting you in their sigs, don't give them the material. Also, nobody cares if you know what year Tony Pike was, we're simply astonished that for an all-knowing football authority like you claim to be, you had never even heard of him.

Really? That is "calling someone out"? Grow some balls and thicker skin.

I wasn't talking about what class he was in. You said you had never even heard of him until the last week of the season. You act like you know everything about college football, yet hadn't even heard of a guy who was a legit Heisman candidate 5 weeks into the season, before getting injured. I think that's funny.

As far as calling you out, how am I doing that? I just quoted a comment that you made, which I found humorous. I didn't call you any names, nor make any personal attacks.

As far as the avatar, so what? It's a funny picture, and apparently we, as well as quite a few others on this site find that picture funny. If you're insinuating we're the same person, I'm sure the mods can run a nice little IP check for you, and show that we aren't. Duplicate accounts are frowned upon.

Please, I hardly act like I know everything about college football - at least no more than you do. I suppose if I ever had an interest in Cincinatti, or who their QB was, maybe I would have known a little more about them. But I didn't.....so I didn't. Is that hard to understand?

I remember a funny comment that you made a while back, about habits of people who drink in Iowa City. Just sayin.

Hardly saying that you're the same person at all, just that I find it funny that you and CBD have the same avatar, especially when it's hard to tell what it is.

1) Right....

2) I think you had that as a sig for some time.

3) Many people who had no interest in Cincinnati, but followed College Football knew who Tony Pike was shortly into the season. To not know who he was means you don't follow it that closely.

23-15 is more realistic than 18-5 IMO. How do the WR/TE count for 2/3rds of the picks, and if so, how is there going to be that much improvement. If Stanzi improves I could see the TDs up and the Ints down, but not that much. Again, it is hard for me to believe that a three years starter is going to make such a vast improvement in year 3.

He will not be drafted.
