My personal thoughts on last year's Hilton Madness setup:
1. 3-point competition was good. I like the bracket-style ultimately culminating in the men's champ vs. the women's champ.
2. Dunk contest (in last year's format) was pretty lame. I don't want to dog on NWB (okay, here's where I dog on NWB...), but I recall him specifically and maybe another player or two that seemed like they didn't care about it at all... No sense of urgency on dunks while the clock was ticking down. It's their event and they can care about it however much they want, but maybe try to sell it a little more for the fans? My proposal would be to have every player on the MBB roster get the chance to make ONE dunk in 15 seconds. That should allow at least two attempts at a good dunk and won't allow for the staleness/embarrassment of a guy missing 3-4 times. Then after all of them have gone, list their names off one by one and have the winner determined by the loudest cheer from the crowd. Gets the crowd involved and is a better show altogether.
3. Having the men and women scrimmage together was also less than ideal. I'd rather see the women against the women and men against the men, even if both genders just go at 50-75% speed and try crazy All-Star game type stuff.
