I'm pretty confident KU wins tonight and is back in the driver's seat to win the conference. I've seen this show before, and it always ends the same.

Agreed. I know eventually KU is going to get unseated, but I'll believe it when I see it. How many times have we written them off in December or January only to find them in the same place they always are at the end of the season?

WVU doesn't have a ton of talent. They have a few talented players and then a lot of guys who know how to play defense and foul. And it is really really hard to beat them at WVU.

One less than dominant season doesnt change Kansas' status at all. The stars all aligned at the same time for this to happen; too many schollies to transfers who cannot play, best recruit held out all season, another recruit a late add and the deepest Big 12 ever is what it has taken for KU to look this vulnerable. And yet KU is still right in the mix.

This is a 1 year blip. It might be 14 more years before the stars align all at once like this again. It's a.bit of a bummer but trust me I am not even remotely concerned about the long term status of KU. I think we'll be OK.

What's funny is your best recruit wasn't even the best player on his own high school team last year and the kid that was came to Iowa State

Agree, they have couple of talented guys but the rest make up for their lack of talent by grabbing, slapping, pushing and pulling and doing it so much it forces the refs to either call all fouls or only a fraction (typically the case). I did this all the time in high school to make up for the fact I was slow, short and couldn't jump.

If I had to bet, I would never bet on KU to not win at least a share of the Big 12. They haven't even played well and they are 4-1. They just added De Sousa and could still add Preston.

I'm not totally sure KU wins tonight, but has a bunch of these situations remaining, and could steal at WV/at OU, and like you I've seen this before. Probably won't lose again at home. And in typical fashion, probably wins the return trip to TT to wind up with a split (similar to OSU a few seasons ago).

Hard to get a PG recruit to come in the last few years when they saw both Mason and Graham on the roster. Part of this year's "problem" was Self tying up a scholly with Moore so he'd have a more experienced PG next year. Will be a RS soph next year, which is a year more experience than Mason had when he took over in '14-15.

It's all good. KU will be loaded 2+ deep at every position so if our PG experience level is our big problem then we are good to go.

This is why I hate Kansas is a tidy 3 paragraph post. Someone doesn't bow to the alter of KU basketball and they are discredited as impartial.

What I find interesting is knowing how much KU fans dislike Fran, I pay special attention to his Phog broadcasts to see if I can pick up any negativity. Let me tell you, there is none. Any perceived impartiality is just that-- perceived. He gives KU tons of credit, but he will point out their flaws, just like he does with any team.
