It would have been awesome celebrating Barta’s weird contracts extensions if Fred was still here and our coach because he owned Fran and that program, right now? I would wait until I see what TJ has in store for us.

Honestly, I'm now looking forward to our game with them next year. Both of us will be rebuilding and we've got nothing to lose while they appear to have lost everything. I think this is a nice starting point for TJ. We had no choice but to change our coaches but this move came at an opportune time. If I was TJ this would put an even bigger spring in my step.
A hok friend of mine who put his two kids through ISU thought SUI was a "final four team" late last year. Now that they have Fran for several more years I wonder if I'll ever hear that prediction again.
At least my friend can take comfort in the fact that his kids are making tons of money with their ISU engineering degrees and my friend will rest comfortably in his retirement watching hok basketball while living off of his ISU educated sons.

A fun part of the game was Connors pass out of bounds, 10 foot in front of Garza, on his post feed. They pan to Fran and with his face mask as a chin strap, yells out a large f bomb and pulls his face mask up.
He’s already got a spatula picked out. Guy has an uncanny ability to flip burgers at just the right time.
